1162 Broadway’s Façade Begins to Emerge from Scaffolding in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is getting closer to completion on 1162 Broadway, a 13-story commercial building in the Madison Square North Historic District of NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by 1162 Broadway LLC, the 185-foot-tall structure will yield Class A office space and 1,800 square feet for a restaurant on the ground floor and cellar level. On Star Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West 27th and 28th Streets.

Pace University’s 15 Beekman Street Nears Completion in Financial District, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 15 Beekman Street, a 27-story campus expansion for Pace University in the Financial District. Designed by Manish Chadha of Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by SL Green Realty, the 338-foot-tall tower will yield 213,084 square feet with classrooms, dorm rooms, a dining facility, library, and learning center. New Line Structures & Development is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 126-132 Nassau Street and located at the corner of Beekman and Nassau Streets.

435 West 19th Street Completes Construction in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 435 West 19th Street, an eight-story residential conversion and expansion in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Rand Engineering and Architecture and developed by Churchill Real Estate Holdings, the project involved the construction of a three-story steel-framed expansion atop a former warehouse building and the repurposing of its interiors to yield 21 condominium units with an average scope of 1,400 square feet. Project 19 High Line LLC is the owner and CORE Real Estate is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. Sales have launched and homes range in price from $1.15 million for a studio, while a three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom penthouse unit costs $7 million.

Exterior Work Continues on The Elisa at 251 West 14th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Exterior work is progressing on The Elisa, an 11-story residential building at 251 West 14th Street in Chelsea. Designed by Isay Weinfeld Architects, the structure will yield 25 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts with sales and marketing by Bianca D’Alessio, Christian Haag, Donna Strugatz, and Jennifer Alese and Mia Calabrese of Nest Seekers and SERHANT, with prices ranging from $1.45 million to $5 million, as well as a four-bedroom penthouse that has yet to hit the market. Pizzarotti is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, near the intersection of the West Village and the Meatpacking District.

305 East 61st Street’s Residential Conversion Progresses on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Renovation and expansion work is progressing on 305 East 61st Street, an 11-story former storage facility in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by ADG Architecture and Design and developed by Madison Realty Capital and Alex Forkosh of Forkosh Development Group under the ASF 61 LLC, the project involves a 30-foot vertical addition to the 130-foot-tall structure and the conversion of its 66,200 square feet of interiors to support 35 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as 8,180 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and mezzanine level. Honest & Quality Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located between First and Second Avenues.

Demolition Finishes for 36-Story Tower at 255 East 77th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Demolition is complete at 255 East 77th Street, the site of a 36-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Naftali Group, the 475-foot-tall structure will yield 170,481 square feet with 55 units, as well as 3,861 square feet of retail space, two cellar levels, and 33 enclosed parking spaces. Alba Services is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 1481 Second Avenue and located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 77th Street.

1323 Surf Avenue Readies for Excavation in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Excavation is set to begin at 1323 Surf Avenue, the site of a forthcoming development by DA Luigi Realty in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Details on the structure are scant, as no architect, floor count, height, or programming nature have been disclosed, though it’s likely the property will give rise to a mix of residential and commercial space. Alba Services is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Surf Avenue and West 15th Street.

NOVA Nears Completion at 41-05 29th Street in Long Island City, Queens

Exterior work is nearing completion on NOVA, a 24-story residential building at 41-05 29th Street in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by SB Development Group, the Flatiron-esque structure will yield 86 condominium units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with sales and marketing led by Modern Spaces, as well as 2,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space. SBGC, LLC is the general contractor for the $70 million project, which is bound by 41st Avenue to the east and 29th Street to the west.

Extell’s 570 Fifth Avenue Supertall Awaits Excavation in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition is complete at 570 Fifth Avenue, the site of a potential 1,101-foot mixed-use supertall in the Diamond District of Midtown, Manhattan. Developed by Extell, the project could either unfold as a 78-story, 1.4-million-square-foot hotel and condominium tower or as an 860-foot-tall, 47-story office skyscraper yielding more than 1.5 million square feet. ALBA Services was the demolition contractor for the property, which spans between West 46th and West 47th Streets.

Demolition Finishes for SOM-Designed Skyscraper at 415 Madison Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

415 Madison Avenue recently completed on-site demolition for an upcoming 40-story commercial skyscraper in Midtown East. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and owned by Rudin Management under the 415 Madison Avenue LLC, the 605-foot-tall replacement will yield a total of 343,100 square feet of new office space, a 350-square-foot ground-floor retail pavilion, and a 2,400-square-foot open-air public concourse. The ground-up project is being constructed in compliance with the East Midtown sub-district regulations, alongside the use of air rights that were previously purchased from the landmarked St. Bartholomew’s Church along Park Avenue. PAL Environmental Services served as the former general contractor but now AECOM Tishman is the new general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan property, which is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 48th Street.
