Construction is about to top out on 204 4th Avenue, a 13-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 193 rental units and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the half-acre rectangular property, which is alternately addressed as 655 Union Street and bound by Sackett Street to the north and Raul Vasquez Jr. Place to the south.

New Renderings Revealed For The Arabella at 4720 Third Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx 

New renderings have been revealed for The Arabella, a nine-story residential building under construction at 4720 Third Avenue in the Belmont section of The Bronx. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Vertical Community Development and Sioni Group, the topped-out structure will yield 165 market rate and affordable units as well as two-stories of retail space and a collection of amenities throughout. Interiors of the project were designed by Marin Architects and thoughtfully curated throughout. Structural Engineers is the structural engineer, REAL New York is handling leasing and marketing, and OmniBuild Construction is the general contractor for the project, which occupies a large trapezoidal plot bound by East 189th Street to the north, East 188th Street to the south, Washington Avenue to the east, and Third Avenue to the west.

Designed by Raymond Chan Architects and developed by Global Joint Venture, the structure was last reported to yield 16 rental units as well as ground-floor retail space, a 550-square-foot medical facility, and office space spanning floors two through five. Mandarin Enterprises is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a relatively narrow plot between Broome and Grand Streets.

Construction is complete on 2226 Third Avenue, a ten-story mixed-use building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by DXA Studio Architecture and developed by Real Estate Equities Corporation, the 145-foot-tall structure yields 193,000 square feet of laboratory and medical research space that will cater to biotech start-ups, as well as 36,547 square feet for commercial use and 97,759 square feet of community facility space. REEC 3rd Ave LLC is listed as the owner, GACE Consulting Engineers was the structural engineer, ICOR Consulting Engineers was the MEP engineer, and The Rinaldi Group was the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 121st Street.

Construction is nearing completion on the Urban League Empowerment Center, a 17-story mixed-use building at 121 West 125th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by The Prusik Group, BRP Companies, L+M Development Partners, and Taconic Partners, the 414-000-square-foot structure will yield 170 affordable housing units, 70,000 square feet of Class A office space, and 110,000 square feet of retail area including a Target and a 28,000-square-foot Trader Joe’s on the ground floor. The development will serve as the home for the National Urban League and the Urban Civil Rights Experience Museum. Congress Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West 126th Street to the north, 125th Street to the south, Malcolm X Boulevard to the east, and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard to the west.
