No. 33 Park Row’s Steel Façade Reaches Pinnacle in Financial District

The black steel façade has reached the parapet of No.33 Park Row, aka Pearl on the Park, a 331-foot-tall residential building in the Civic Center section of the Financial District. Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and developed by Centurion Real Estate Partners and Urban Muse, the 25-story structure stands at the corner of Park Row and Beekman Street, directly across from City Hall Park. No. 33 Park Row is set to yield 30 units and a total of 95,000 square feet of newly built space.

161 Maiden Lane’s Glass Curtain Wall Resumes Its Rise, In The Financial District

Façade work is progressing on Seaport Residences, a 670-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 161 Maiden Lane in the Financial District. Formally addressed as One Seaport, the topped-out 60-story building is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group LLC and will yield 80 units. Groves & Co is serving as the interior designer for the 200,000-square-foot structure, and sales will be handled by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Ray Builders is the current contractor for the project.

One Wall Street’s Residential Conversion and Retail Addition Progresses in Financial District

The residential conversion and retail addition at One Wall Street continues to take shape in the Financial District. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Macklowe Properties, the projected $1.5 billion undertaking is the largest office-to-condominium conversion in New York City history. In addition to the creation of 566 residential units with sales handled and marketed by CORE, the project will also add a 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market and a Life Time fitness center to the lower levels of the building.

Exterior Work Continues on Tin Building in Seaport District

Exterior work progresses on the Tin Building, a 53,000-square-foot market building on the rebuilt Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport District. The three-story steel-framed structure is designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Howard Hughes Corporation, with Plaza Construction serving as construction manager.

50 Trinity Place Begins Vertical Ascent in Financial District

Construction is now several floors above street level at 50 Trinity Place, a forthcoming Aloft Hotel in the Financial District. The project is designed by Peter Poon Architects and is being developed by FIT Investment Corporation, which purchased the property for $15 million eight years ago. Located at the intersection of Trinity Place and Rector Street, the site is located just to the north of 77 Greenwich Street.

125 Greenwich Street’s Final Curtainwall Panels Await Installation in the Financial District

Exterior work is getting close to completion at 125 Greenwich Street, the tallest residential skyscraper currently under construction in the Financial District. The 912-foot-tall, 88-story structure is designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group. Douglas Elliman is leading the sales and marketing for the building’s 273 residential units, which feature interiors designed by March & White. Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Greenwich Street and Thames Street.

Construction Completed at 200 West 11th Street in the West Village

Work is now complete at 200 West 11th Street, a five-story residential building at the five-way intersection of West 11th Street, Seventh Avenue, and Greenwich Avenue in the West Village. The project is designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by The Jackson Group, which began leasing late last summer. Interior design was led by Ovadia Design Group and features contemporary material finishes, exposed concrete ceilings and structural beams, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Jason Haber of Warburg Realty handled the property’s three rentals.

Façade Work Progresses at 120 Water Street in Financial District

Work is moving along on 120 Water Street, a topped-out, 28-story project from Gene Kaufman Architects and Atlas Hospitality in the Financial District. The 52,000-square-foot building will contain a Hotel Indigo with 128 rooms managed by Fortuna Realty Group.

Checking in on SOMA Architects’ 45 Park Place in Tribeca

Among the tallest new construction projects in Lower Manhattan is 45 Park Place, a 667-foot-tall residential building in Tribeca. Designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects as the executive and residential architect, progress was swift on the reinforced concrete structure throughout much of 2019, but work halted toward the end of the year and has yet to resume. The 43-story building is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties with Piero Lissoni as the interior designer.

561 Greenwich Street Cleared For Imminent Excavation in Hudson Square

Demolition has finished at 561 Greenwich Street in Hudson Square, the site of a 19-story commercial building. Designed by COOKFOX Architects, the 260,000-square-foot project will add 199,353 square feet of office space to the booming neighborhood. Hines is serving as development manager and Trinity Church Wall Street is listed as the owner on permits filed last November.
