Perkins Eastman’s 99 Hudson Street Nears Completion in Jersey City

Work on 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City is nearly complete as finishing touches proceed on the ground floor and interiors. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by COA 99 Hudson, LLC, the 79-story, 900-foot-tall residential skyscraper is the tallest building in New Jersey. Plaza Construction is in charge of construction with Vidaris overseeing the installation of the exterior envelope. 99 Hudson Street rises from a full-block parcel bound by Hudson Street to the east, Grand Street to the south, Greene Street to the west, and York Street to the north.

Studio V’s 170 Erie Street Reaches Halfway Mark in Jersey City

Construction is progressing at 170 Erie Street, a nine-story mixed-use residential building in the Jersey City neighborhood of Hamilton Park. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by Silverman, the project will yield 57 residential units, 40,000 square feet of office space, 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 85 parking spots.

SL Green’s 185 Broadway Now Several Floors Above Street Level in Financial District

The superstructure of 185 Broadway is now several floors above ground in the Financial District. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by SL Green, the 260,000-square-foot development will top out at 31 stories and bring more than 200 rental apartments and flagship retail space to Lower Manhattan.

700 Washington Boulevard, aka The Beach, Tops Out Along the Jersey City Waterfront

Construction has topped out on 700 Washington Boulevard, aka the Beach, a 24-story residential building in Newport, Jersey City. Formerly called The Wave, the project is designed by HLW International Architecture and Engineering and developed by LeFrak Organization. The building is located along the Hudson River waterfront just off 18th Street, bordering the northern end of Newport Green Park. A shorter 12-story sibling also stands topped out.

351 Marin Boulevard’s Superstructure Continues Ascent in Jersey City

Construction is moving along at 351 Marin Boulevard, a 383-foot-tall mixed-used development in Jersey City. Designed by Hollwich Kushner in collaboration with HLW International and developed in a joint venture between KRE Group and Northwestern Mutual, the 38-story project will yield 507 residential units, 8,000 square feet of commercial space, 203 parking spaces, and a 4,500-square-foot public plaza with a freestanding pavilion.

No. 33 Park Row’s Steel Façade Reaches Pinnacle in Financial District

The black steel façade has reached the parapet of No.33 Park Row, aka Pearl on the Park, a 331-foot-tall residential building in the Civic Center section of the Financial District. Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and developed by Centurion Real Estate Partners and Urban Muse, the 25-story structure stands at the corner of Park Row and Beekman Street, directly across from City Hall Park. No. 33 Park Row is set to yield 30 units and a total of 95,000 square feet of newly built space.

161 Maiden Lane’s Glass Curtain Wall Resumes Its Rise, In The Financial District

Façade work is progressing on Seaport Residences, a 670-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 161 Maiden Lane in the Financial District. Formally addressed as One Seaport, the topped-out 60-story building is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group LLC and will yield 80 units. Groves & Co is serving as the interior designer for the 200,000-square-foot structure, and sales will be handled by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Ray Builders is the current contractor for the project.

One Wall Street’s Residential Conversion and Retail Addition Progresses in Financial District

The residential conversion and retail addition at One Wall Street continues to take shape in the Financial District. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Macklowe Properties, the projected $1.5 billion undertaking is the largest office-to-condominium conversion in New York City history. In addition to the creation of 566 residential units with sales handled and marketed by CORE, the project will also add a 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market and a Life Time fitness center to the lower levels of the building.

Exterior Work Continues on Tin Building in Seaport District

Exterior work progresses on the Tin Building, a 53,000-square-foot market building on the rebuilt Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport District. The three-story steel-framed structure is designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Howard Hughes Corporation, with Plaza Construction serving as construction manager.

50 Trinity Place Begins Vertical Ascent in Financial District

Construction is now several floors above street level at 50 Trinity Place, a forthcoming Aloft Hotel in the Financial District. The project is designed by Peter Poon Architects and is being developed by FIT Investment Corporation, which purchased the property for $15 million eight years ago. Located at the intersection of Trinity Place and Rector Street, the site is located just to the north of 77 Greenwich Street.
