New Renderings Revealed For Wynn Resorts At Phase Two Of Hudson Yards

Wynn Resorts revealed a series of new renderings for its proposed casino and hotel location within phase two of Hudson Yards. Developed with Related Companies, the master plan, expected to cost $12 billion, consists of multiple skyscrapers that will additionally yield space for 1,500 apartments, two million square feet of office space, a public school, and a daycare center. The master plan is slated to rise directly west of the first phase of Hudson Yards over the 13-acre open-air Western Rail Yards bound by West 33rd Street to the north, West 30th Street to the south, Eleventh Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.

538-542 West 29th Street Prepares For Demolition in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Demolition preparations are underway at 538-542 West 29th Street, the site of an art-inspired mixed-use hotel and condominium building in West Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed in collaboration between Jeffrey Cole Architects and AA Studio and developed by hospitality group PPHE Hotel Group and Largo Investments, which acquired the property for $42 million, the 74,000-square-foot structure is planned to yield 98 guest rooms and 55 residences. W29 Owner LLC is listed as the owner and Northeast Specialist Group LLC is the contractor for the project, which is located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues.

Demolition Nears Completion At 275 Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

Demolition is nearing completion at 275 Atlantic Avenue, the site of a 15-story jail complex in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by HOK and developed by the NYC Department of Design and Construction, the 339-foot-tall structure will span 712,150 square feet with a capacity of 1,040 inmates, as well as 30,000 square feet of community facility space, two cellar levels, two loading berths, 100 enclosed parking spaces, and an underground tunnel connecting to the adjacent courthouse. Northstar Contracting Group Inc. is the general contractor for the project, which will replace the defunct Brooklyn Detention Complex bound by Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Place, and Smith and State Streets.

145 Perry Street Wraps Up Construction in West Village, Manhattan

Construction is reaching the finish line on 145 Perry Street, a four-story private mansion in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by Leroy Street Studio with Robert Silman Associates as the structural engineer, the structure will yield 30,000 square feet. Edmund Hollander Design is the landscape architect and Sciame Construction is the construction manager for the property, which is alternately addressed as 703-711 Washington Street and located at the corner of Perry and Washington Streets.

Warren Street Hotel Wraps Up Construction At 86 Warren Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Construction is complete on the Warren Street Hotel, an 11-story building that celebrated its grand opening yesterday at 86 Warren Street in Tribeca. Designed by Paul Taylor with Stonehill Taylor and developed by Firmdale on a land lease from Solil Management, the 135-foot-tall structure spans 44,000 square feet and yields 69 guest rooms operated by Firmdale Hotels, as well as the 150-seat Warren Bar and Restaurant, a drawing room, an orangery, and a private event space. Pavarini McGovern was the general contractor and Kit Kemp was the interior designer for the ground-up project, which stands on the former site of an open-air parking lot between Greenwich Street and West Broadway.

Minuet Completes Construction at 244 East 52nd Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is complete on Minuet, a seven-story condominium building at 244 East 52nd Street in the Turtle Bay section of Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Isaac and Stern Architects with GeT Architect as the interior designer and developed by Minrav Development, the 26,000-square-foot structure yields 15 residential units, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and a rooftop terrace. DCG served as the general contractor for the project, which stands on a 5,000-square-foot interior plot between Second and Third Avenues.

64 University Place’s Brick Façade Progresses in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Façade work is progressing on 64 University Place, an 11-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Argo Real Estate and Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall structure will span 63,000 square feet and yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets.

36 West 38th Street Hotel Tops Out in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 36 West 38th Street, a 20-story hotel in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Gene Kaufman and developed by Onboard Hospitality LLC, which purchased the property for $19 million in a bankruptcy auction from Gemini Real Estate in 2017, the structure stands 205 feet tall and will yield 200 guest rooms. Omnibuild Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, just south of Bryant Park.

New Renderings Revealed For Xadia Hotel At 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

New renderings have been released showcasing a design change for the Xadia Hotel, a 42-story hotel tower currently rising at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Marin Architects and developed by Wei Hong Hu under the H Hotel LLC, the 475-foot-tall structure will yield 173 guest rooms and amenities including a restaurant, an arcade, and a rooftop bar. City Cross Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a narrow interior plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, one block south of Bryant Park.

One Times Square’s New Façade Begins Installation in Times Square, Manhattan

Façade installation has begun on One Times Square, a 26-story commercial tower undergoing an extensive interior and exterior overhaul at 1475 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by S9 Architecture with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Jamestown, the $500 million project involves the full gut renovation and re-cladding of the 120-year-old, 395-foot-tall steel-framed structure, along with the addition of new LED displays and public viewing decks with platforms that will overlook the district. R&R Scaffolding Companies will supply the BMU and Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 43rd Street to the north, West 42nd Street to the south, Broadway to the east, and Seventh Avenue to the west.
