Exterior work is nearing completion on 35 Commercial Street, a 22-story residential building in the Greenpoint Landing master plan in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), 213-foot-tall structure spans 344,463 square feet and will yield 373 affordable housing units and 7,600 square feet of retail space. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Bell Slip to the west and Commercial and Clay Streets to the south.

Construction is rising on 10-04 Borden Avenue, a three-story commercial building in Long Island City, Queens. Developed and built by The Vorea Group under the Borden Ave Opportunity Zone Business LLC, the 56,000-square-foot structure will feature New York City’s first iFLY indoor skydiving facility and a separate commercial space. The plot spans nearly half an acre by the three-way intersection of Borden Avenue, Vernon Boulevard, and Jackson Avenue.

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by M&H Realty, the 439-foot-tall structure will yield 500 rental units. Excavation and Pilings Continue at 1 Java Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Excavation and piling work is progressing at 1 Java Street, the site of a two-tower residential development along the East River in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed and built by Lendlease, which secured a $360 million construction loan at the end of 2022, the project will yield 850 rental units across the two structures, the taller of which will stand 36 stories and 445 feet tall. Aware Super is the joint developer, INC Architecture & Design is the interior designer for the public areas, and Crème is the interior designer for the townhouse units at the property, which is alternately addressed as 18 India Street and occupies a full block bound by India Street to the north, Java Street to the south, Water Street to the east, and the India Street pier over the East River to the west.

Waterview’s Façade Nears Completion at 77-87 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Exterior work is nearing completion on Waterview, a two-tower residential development at 77-87 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Clipper Equity, the 30- and 40-story towers will yield 811,000 square feet and 520 units, with 200 designated for affordable housing. The 331- and 429-foot tall reinforced concrete superstructures both rise from a seven-story podium that will contain 25,000 square feet of retail space and a 300-vehicle below-grade parking garage. Ray Builders is the general contractor and Hatfield Group is the façade consultant for the property, which is located next to the Greenpoint Landing master plan near the intersection of Commercial and Box Streets.
