New Renderings Revealed For Xadia Hotel At 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

New renderings have been released showcasing a design change for the Xadia Hotel, a 42-story hotel tower currently rising at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Marin Architects and developed by Wei Hong Hu under the H Hotel LLC, the 475-foot-tall structure will yield 173 guest rooms and amenities including a restaurant, an arcade, and a rooftop bar. City Cross Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a narrow interior plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, one block south of Bryant Park.

One Times Square’s New Façade Begins Installation in Times Square, Manhattan

Façade installation has begun on One Times Square, a 26-story commercial tower undergoing an extensive interior and exterior overhaul at 1475 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by S9 Architecture with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Jamestown, the $500 million project involves the full gut renovation and re-cladding of the 120-year-old, 395-foot-tall steel-framed structure, along with the addition of new LED displays and public viewing decks with platforms that will overlook the district. R&R Scaffolding Companies will supply the BMU and Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 43rd Street to the north, West 42nd Street to the south, Broadway to the east, and Seventh Avenue to the west.

Monogram New York Nears Completion At 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on Monogram New York, a 35-story residential skyscraper at 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Navigation Capital Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will yield 191 condominium units designed by Shanghai-based Neri & Hu in studio to four-bedroom penthouse layouts, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Anthology Group is the hospitality partner and Cauldwell Wingate is the general contractor for the tower, which was formerly addressed as 131-141 East 47th Street and is located between Lexington and Third Avenues.

Brooklyn Tower’s Podium Continues to Wrap Up at 9 DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is continuing on the podium of The Brooklyn Tower, a 93-story residential supertall skyscraper at 9 DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed and built by JDS Development, 1,066-foot structure is the tallest building in the outer boroughs and yields 550 units designed by Gachot Studios with 150 condominiums, 120 affordable rental units, and 280 market-rate rental units, as well as 100,000 square feet of retail space in the podium and the adjoining landmarked Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing Group is the marketing, sales, and leasing agent for the residential component, Krista Ninivaggi of Woods Bagot is the amenity designer, and HMWhite is the landscape designer for the property, which is alternately addressed as 55 Fleet Street and bound by Flatbush Avenue Extension to the northeast, Fleet Street to the northwest, DeKalb Avenue to the south, and the adjoining Dime Savings Bank to the west.

Construction Finishes At 300 Huntington Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction is finished at 300 Huntington Street, a new six-story commercial building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Dattner Architects and Bernheimer Architecture and developed and built by Monadnock Development as their new permanent headquarters. The 136,000-square-foot structure will yield 80,000 square feet of office space, 12,290 square feet of retail space, a 3,470-square-foot industrial workshop, 5,780 square feet of unspecified building service area, and a 15,490-square-foot rear yard dedicated to the anchor tenant. The property is the first and only new ground-up commercial office complex in the neighborhood and is bound by Huntington Street to the north, 9th Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Smith Street to the east. There is also a new waterfront esplanade spanning over 8,700 square feet which was designed by SCAPE Landscape Architecture.

Superstructure Rising At 71 Prince Street in Downtown Brooklyn

YIMBY spotted construction at 71 Prince Street, a 31-story residential complex in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Maddd Equities, the project is expected to yield 436,600 square feet with 465 rental units, 4,000 square feet of retail space, and 40 to 50 enclosed parking spots. Brooklyn Red Sauce LLC is listed as the owner and Joy Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 202 Tillary Street and is located on 19,500-square-foot L-shaped parcel with two frontages lining Prince and Hillary Streets that once held a 115,000-square-foot American Self Storage facility. Construction is expected to cost $132 million.

Demolition Imminent At 33 4th Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

Demolition is about to get underway at 33 4th Street, which will be home to a new seven-story residential building in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Designed by IMC Architecture and developed by Shimon Hoffman under the GH Management LLC, the upcoming structure will stand 72 feet tall, yield 55,694 square feet designated for residential space with 82 rental units averaging 679 square feet apiece, and a 32-foot-long rear yard. Alba Services Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior rectangular plot between Smith and Hoyt Streets.

101 Fleet Place Rises Above Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is in full swing at 101 Fleet Place, a 21-story mixed-use residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by JFA Architects & Engineers and developed by The Jay Group under the 101 Fleet Place LLC, the structure will stand 215 feet tall and yield 240,092 square feet. Components include 235,446 square feet designated for residential space split among 292 rental units averaging 806 square feet apiece, 4,645 square feet for commercial space, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 44 enclosed parking spaces. On Star Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Myrtle Avenue to the north and Willoughby Street to the south, and was purchased from the Leser Group for $40 million back in December 2021.

The Downing Completes Construction at 108 Downing Street in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn

Construction is complete on The Downing, an eight-story mixed-use building at 108 Downing Street in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Daniel Kimya under the Fulton Star LLC, the structure yields 50 rental apartments with 15 designated for affordable housing, and 9,196 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The Corcoran Group is in charge of marketing the homes and Fulton Star LLC was the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Fulton Avenue and Downing Street.

New Rendering Spotted For 280 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan

YIMBY spotted a new rendering amidst excavation at 280 Eighth Avenue, an upcoming 10-story mixed-use residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Red Apple Group under the RA 280 Development LLC, the future 113-foot-tall structure will yield 58,021 square feet. Components include 52,432 square feet designated for residential space split among 64 rental units averaging 819 square feet apiece, 4,642 square feet for commercial space, 947 square feet for community facility space, a cellar level, and a 24-foot-long rear yard. Archstone Builders, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is situated at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 24th Street.
