Exterior work is nearing completion on 77 Greenwich Street, a 42-story mixed-use residential skyscraper in the Financial District. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Trinity Place Holdings, the 500-foot-tall project will yield 90 condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedroom layouts with interiors designed by Deborah Berke Partners.
Construction is nearing the halfway mark at 1230 Madison Avenue, a Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed residential building on the Upper East Side. The reinforced concrete superstructure is starting to reach the height of its abutting low-rise neighbors and will eventually top out at 208 feet tall. Located in Carnegie Hill on the same block as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the 20-story project is being developed by Real Estate Equities Corporation (R.E.E.C.) with SLCE Architects as the architect of record.
The curtain wall is steadily rising up 1059 Third Avenue, a 481-foot-tall mixed-use tower on the Upper East Side. Designed by Manuel Glas Architects and developed by Real Estate Inverlad and Third Palm Capital, the slender reinforced concrete superstructure topped out at 30 stories and will yield a total of 127,000 square feet. The development will contain 38 condominiums spread across 103,900 square feet, averaging around 2,740 square feet apiece.
Construction is nearing completion on Vandewater, a 33-story, 385-foot-tall residential tower in Morningside Heights. Located at 543 West 122nd Street, the project is designed by INC Architecture & Design and being developed by Savanna. SLCE Architects is the executive architect, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc. is the landscape architect, and Halstead Development Marketing is handling sales for the 183 condominiums.
Exterior work is moving along at Beckford Tower and Beckford House, a pair of residential buildings in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Workers are installing the final sections of Brynne Brownstone and Indiana Limestone on Beckford House, located at 301 East 81st Street, also addressed as 1562 Second Avenue, and Beckford Tower at 301 East 80th Street. The project is designed by Studio Sofield and SLCE Architects and is being developed by Icon Realty Management. CM & Associates is in charge of construction management.
