Rendering Released for 68-Story Skyscraper at 100 West 37th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

A new rendering has been released for 100 West 37th Street, a planned 68-story mixed-use skyscraper in the Garment District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Sioni Group under the 989 Sixth Realty LLC, the 743-foot-tall structure will yield 384,118 square feet with 300 condominium units spread across 297,301 square feet, as well as 86,817 square feet of commercial space and two cellar levels. Northeast Specialist Group is currently serving as the demolition contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 989-993 Sixth Avenue and located at the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street.

The Westly Wraps Up Construction at 251 West 91st Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is finishing up on The Westly, a 20-story residential building at 251 West 91st Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by ODA Architects and developed by Adam America Real Estate and Northlink Capital, the 250-foot-tall structure will yield 52 condominium units in two- to five-bedroom layouts with marketing by Ryan Serhant of SERHANT and Shlomi Reuveni of Reuveni Development Marketing. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 91st Street.

76 West 105th Street’s Façade Progresses on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Exterior work is nearing completion on 76 West 105th Street, a six-story townhouse in the Manhattan Valley section of the Upper West Side. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by Moonshot Development under the 76 West 105 Holdings LLC with co-developer partner Sentai Capital, the 9,200-square-foot structure will yield two triplex units with elevator access. Top Rock Development and Construction is the general contractor for the project, which stands on a small rectangular lot between Columbus and Manhattan Avenues.

New Rendering Revealed for PENN 15 Supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

A new rendering has been revealed for PENN 15, a 56-story commercial supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the 1,200-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 2.7 million square feet of office space and stand as the centerpiece of the 7.4-million-square-foot Penn District master plan. Northstar Contracting Group is the demolition contractor for the Hotel Pennsylvania, which is currently being razed to make way for the new tower along Seventh Avenue between West 32nd and 33rd Streets.

793 Madison Avenue’s Renovation Progresses on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Renovation work is progressing on 793 Madison Avenue, a landmarked five-story building in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Joseph Tarella of Sawicki Tarella Architecture + Design and developed by Pinnacle Madison Avenue Corp., the project involves the restoration of the structure’s façade and interiors, and a modernization of its 10,655 square feet of lower-level retail space. The work will also yield a new elevator and an expanded lobby with a separate entrance along East 67th Street. Judson Realty is in charge of marketing and leasing, and Vanguard Construction and Development is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 27 East 67th Street and located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 67th Street.

96+Broadway’s Exterior Wraps Up at 2551 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is wrapping up on 96+Broadway, a 22-story residential building at 2551-2555 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen with Stephen B. Jacobs Group as the architect of record and developed by Paragon JV Properties III, the 235-foot-tall structure yields 276,578 square feet and 130 condominium units with an average scope of 1,660 square feet, as well as 9,080 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.

Excavation Progresses at 410 West 49th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 410 West 49th Street, the site of a seven-story residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by SBLM Architects and developed by Sparksangel USA Inc., the 65-foot-tall structure will yield two condominium units spread across 5,403 square feet split up as 2,180 square feet for the first apartment and 3,223 square feet in the second unit. JC Consulting & Management Corporation is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues.

270 West 96th Street’s Brick Façade Takes Shape on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade installation is progressing on 270 West 96th Street, a 23-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties, the 235-foot-tall structure will yield 171 rental units with 68 dedicated to affordable housing, and 8,961 square feet of community facility space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West End Avenue and Broadway.

Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue Nears Completion at 685 Fifth Avenue, in Midtown, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on the Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Avenue, a 29-story residential tower at 685 Fifth Avenue in Midtown. Designed by Marin Architects and developed by SHVO in partnership with Deutsche Finance, the more than $300 million project involves the construction of a ten-floor addition above a former commercial building and the residential conversion of 100,000 square feet of its office space, and will yield 69 fully furnished condominium units managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and marketed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. The Rinaldi Group of New York is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 53rd and 54th Streets.

PENN 2’s Cantilever LED Display Begins Testing at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Modernization work is shaping up on PENN 2, a 31-story commercial building at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the project involves the replacement of the 412-foot-tall tower’s aging midcentury façade with a lighter glass curtain wall and the full gut renovation of its 1.61 million square feet of office space, as well as the construction of new pocketed corner terraces and a multistory cantilevering volume along Seventh Avenue. GMSLLP is the façade consultant and Turner Construction Company and Skanska are the contractors for the property, which is located between West 31st and West 33rd Streets within the Penn District revitalization master plan.
