Sendero Verde’s 34-Story Second Phase Progresses at 50 East 112th Street in East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction has passed the halfway point on 50 East 112th Street, the tallest tower in the Sendero Verde mixed-use complex in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Jonathan Rose Companies, L+M Development Partners, and Acacia Network, the 34-story tower represents the second phase of construction and will yield 361 permanently affordable rental units for low- to moderate-income families and the formerly homeless. The edifice is rising directly to the west of the completed first phase, which encompasses a 15-story tower at 60 East 112th Street and a ten-story structure at 75 East 111th Street. The latest tower will span 395,000 square feet, making it the largest affordable Passive House development in the world. L&M Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 112th Street and Madison Avenue.

Exterior work is finishing up on The Edison Gramercy, a 13-story residential building at 250 East 21st Street in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. Designed by Isaac & Stern Architects and developed by Urban Development Partners and SD Second Avenue Property, the structure will yield 54 units in one- to four-bedroom layouts with interiors designed by Paris Forino. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing‘s Eklund Gomes Team is leading sales and marketing for the units, with pricing ranging from $1.2 to more than $6 million. Ross Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 21st Street and Second Avenue.

787 Eleventh Avenue’s Renovation and Expansion Nears Completion in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Renovation and expansion work is nearing completion on 787 Eleventh Avenue, a ten-story commercial building in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Rafael Viñoly and developed by the Georgetown Company, the project involved the restoration of the historic structure’s façade, modernization of its interiors, and the construction of an 86,000-square-foot, two-story extension above the original parapet. JLL is in charge of leasing and Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by West 55th Street to the north, West 54th Street and DeWitt Clinton Park to the south, and Eleventh Avenue to the east.
