Work Nears Completion On The Greenwich By Rafael Viñoly At 125 Greenwich Street in Manhattan’s Financial District

Exterior work is almost finished at The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, an 88-story residential skyscraper at 125 Greenwich Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects and developed by Fortress Investment Group, Bilgili, and Bizzi & Partners, the 912-foot-tall structure will yield 272 condominium units designed by March & White (MAWD) and marketed by Douglas Elliman Marketing Development. Homes will range from studios to three-bedroom layouts with pricing starting at $1.15 million. Time Square Construction and Plaza Construction are the two general contractors for the property, which is located at the corner of Greenwich and Thames Streets, just south of the World Trade Center complex and Liberty Park.

Excavation Continues At 30-78 29th Street in Astoria, Queens

Excavation is ongoing at the site of 30-78 29th Street, a forthcoming seven-story residential building located in Astoria, Queens. Designed by James Cleary Architecture with Desmond Neill of Silverline Construction Management listed as the owner of the development, the future 70-foot-tall structure will yield a total of 18,611 square feet designated for residential space split among 27 rental units averaging 689 square feet each, a cellar level, a 36-foot-long rear yard, and 14 open parking spaces. The property is located on an interior lot and is near the intersection of 29th Street and 30th Drive.

RAMSA’s 255 East 77th Street Rises Above Street Level on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Vertical progress is quickly being made at 255 East 77th Street, the site of a rising 36-story mixed-use residential skyscraper in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects with Hill West Architects as the architect of record and developed by Naftali Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will span 170,481 square feet and yield 62 condominium units, as well as 3,861 square feet of retail space, two cellar levels, and 33 enclosed parking spaces. New Line Structures is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 1481 Second Avenue and located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 77th Street.

280 8th Avenue Approaches Topping Out in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is on the verge of topping out at 280 Eighth Avenue, a 13-story mixed-use residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Red Apple Group under the RA 280 Development LLC, the 172-foot-tall structure will span 95,561 square feet and yield 104 rental units with an average scope of 650 square feet, of which 28 as designated as affordable housing, as well as 6,083 square feet of retail space, 511 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 24-foot-long rear yard. The ground-up property is situated at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 24th Street and was once the site of a one-story commercial structure for Rite-Aid.

Construction Quickly Goes Vertical At 525 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village

Vertical progress is quickly unfolding at 525 Sixth Avenue, the site of a 13-story mixed-use residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Izaki Group under the 525 6th Ave LLC, the 145-foot-tall structure is planned to span 123,000 square feet and yield 71 condominium units and ground-floor commercial space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 100-106 West 14th Street and is located at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, just below the border with Chelsea.

Monogram Completes Construction at 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction has wrapped up on Monogram New York, a 35-story residential skyscraper at 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Navigation Capital Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will yield 191 condominium units in studio to four-bedroom penthouse layouts, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property was formerly addressed as 131-141 East 47th Street and is located between Lexington and Third Avenues.

Facade Installation Progresses at Morris Adjmi’s 18 West 55th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Facade installation continuing to progress at 18 West 55th Street, a topped-out 26-story residential building in Midtown, Manhattan. The Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) panel facade is being installed by PG New York. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed and built by Skyline Developers, which purchased the property for $83 million in 2017 under the 18 West 55th Street LLC, the 289-foot-tall structure will span 152,084 square feet and yield 97 rental units with an average scope of 1,319 square feet, as well as 6,380 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 10,343-square-foot cellar level. The ground-up project is located on a formerly vacant interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, next to the Peninsula Hotel.

One High Line’s Public Plaza, Retail Space Wraps Up Construction at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction on the public plaza and ground-floor retail space is nearly finished at One High Line, a two-tower residential development at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Witkoff Group and Access Industries, the twisting pair of 36- and 26-story structures collectively yield around 900,000 square feet with 236 condominium units in one- to five-bedroom layouts, as well as a hotel component operated by Faena Hotel, and ground-floor retail space. The property is alternately addressed as 76 Eleventh Avenue and stands adjacent to the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 18th Street to the north, West 17th Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west. Suffolk Construction is the general contractor and the plaza was designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, and Field Operations in a private-public partnership between the City of New York and Friends of the High Line.

New Rendering Reveals Isaac & Stern Architects’ 813-815 Broadway in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

YIMBY spotted a new rendering for 813-815 Broadway, an upcoming 11-story mixed-use residential building on the eastern border of Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Issac & Stern Architects and developed by Magnum Real Estate Group, the future project will yield a total of 20 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 2,389 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Ryan Serhant of SERHANT will be in charge of sales and marketing for the home, which will include three exclusive penthouse units.

Demolition Wraps Up at 289 Hudson Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Demolition work is finished at 289 Hudson Street, the site of a forthcoming six-story residential building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by Ponte Equities under the BNC289 LLC, the upcoming 73-foot-tall structure is planned to span 14,829 square feet and yield 15 rental units with an average scope of 688 square feet. There will also be 1,710 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of Hudson and Spring Streets, directly across from the recently completed New York headquarters for Disney at Four Hudson Square.
