126 Madison Avenue Approaches 756-Foot Pinnacle in NoMad

Construction at 15 East 30th Street, aka 126 Madison Avenue, is climbing higher above NoMad. Work has surpassed the roof of Sky House, one the earliest slender residential skyscrapers in New York City. The upcoming 756-foot-tall, 51-story structure is being designed by Handel Architects while Fosun Group and JD Carlisle are responsible for the development. The tower will contain 180 condominiums, which will average more than 1,600 square feet. The project will yield about 300,000 square feet, with 7,500 square feet of retail space divided among two storefronts facing East 30th Street and Madison Avenue.

Central Park Tower Surpasses 432 Park Avenue to Become The Tallest Residential Building in The Western Hemisphere

Fresh photos of Central Park Tower, aka 217 West 57th Street, show that the exterior safety netting has now reached the 92nd floor, and with formwork for the reinforced concrete following, construction has officially surpassed the 1,396-foot-tall rooftop parapet of 432 Park Avenue, making the supertall the tallest residential structure in New York and the Western Hemisphere. The imminently 1,550-foot tower is being designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, while Extell is the developer.

76 Bowery Tops Out in Chinatown

76 Bowery Street recently topped out over Chinatown. The eight-story reinforced concrete structure sits in front of the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge between Canal Street and Hester Street. The new 85-foot-tall building is located within the “Dimond Center” of Chinatown, where a number of small jewelry shops line the busy streets. It is being designed by C3D Architecture and will include 14,488 square feet of office space. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor and is overseeing the build.
