Construction has resumed on 27-49 Jackson Avenue, a 13-story residential building in Long Island CityQueens. Originally designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by ARCFE, the project stalled in 2020 after seven floors were built. The project has now resumed under the ownership of 27-51 Jackson Avenue, with an additional superstructure slated to rise directly to the east and connect to the previously built floors. DHC Contracting is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 42nd Road.

Two-Tower Complex Prepares for Vertical Construction at 346 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Foundation work is progressing at 346 Kent Avenue, the site of a pair of residential towers in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Two Trees, the project is known as Site D in the Domino Sugar master plan from SHoP Architects and James Corner Field Operations and will consist of 36- and 31-story towers rising from a shared eight-story podium. 346 Kent Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Kent Avenue to the east and River Street and Domino Park to the west. An adjacent landscaped public plaza will be built to the north between 346 Kent Avenue and the former Domino Sugar Refinery at 292 Kent Avenue.

Work is nearing completion on 204-210 Elizabeth Street, a six-story commercial complex in Nolita, Manhattan. Designed by Manuel Glas Architects and developed by 201-210 Elizabeth St. LLC, the 58,390-square-foot project involves the renovation of a four-story structure at 210 Elizabeth Street, renovation and one-story expansion of 204 Elizabeth Street, and the construction of a new central volume between them. The combined complex will yield ADA-accessible office space on the upper levels and ground-floor retail space. Hudson Meridian Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Stanton and Rivington Streets, directly across from Elizabeth Street Garden.

Construction has topped out on the barrel-vaulted extension for The Refinery, a commercial conversion and expansion of the 140-year-old Domino Sugar Refinery at 292 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) and developed by Two Trees, the $250 million project involves the gut renovation of the former industrial facility and the construction of a 27,000-square-foot steel-framed, glass-clad addition that will bring the structure’s height to 235 feet. Dencityworks and Bonetti/Kozerski are the interior designers for the property, which represents the centerpiece of the Domino Sugar master plan by SHoP Architects and James Corner Field Operations along the East River waterfront to the west of Kent Avenue between South 2nd and South 3rd Streets.
