Work Fully Wraps for 412 West 15th Street in Chelsea

Standing across the street from Chelsea Market is a new 270-foot, 18-story office building spanning 130,000 square feet, designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Rockpoint Group and Atlas Capital. 412 West 15th Street stands between Ninth and Tenth Avenue above the Meatpacking District in Chelsea, with a tall glass facade and dark metal panels featuring textured geometric panels. The project is also connected to two landmarked buildings along West 14th Street that have a combined square footage of around 85,000 square feet.

Final Touches Underway for Related’s 55 Hudson Yards, Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox

Enclosed in a grid of dark, two-story tall square and rectangular windows with rounded corners, 55 Hudson Yards is the second office tower to be completed and the shortest skyscraper of Phase I at Hudson Yards. Rising 780 feet and 51 stories tall, it is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group Inc. Despite relative diminution of height within Hudson Yards itself, the building is the 21st-tallest tower with work still ongoing in the Five Boroughs, and by today’s rapidly changing rankings, 55 Hudson Yards is the 74th tallest building in the entire country, standing the same height as the iconic Bank of America Center in Houston, Texas.

Thomas Heatherwick’s First Residential Building in Manhattan Tops Out Above the High Line at 511-525 West 18th Street, in Chelsea

Thomas Heatherwick’s first residential project located at 511-525 West 18th Street is starting to take shape above Chelsea. When walking north on the High Line from Chelsea Market directly past Bjarke Ingels twisting residential towers dubbed “The XI,” Heatherwick’s pair of buildings will soon show off their sculptural windows on both sides of the High Line, which splits the project site down the middle. The site is being developed by Related Companies, the same firm behind Hudson Yards at the tip of the High Line’s third phase.

Site Work Commences for Bjarke Ingels-Designed “29th & 5th” at 3 West 29th Street in NoMad, Manhattan

Known simply as “29th & 5th,” the site for BIG’s proposed NoMad skyscraper is located at 3 West 29th Street, several blocks south of the Empire State Building, in Midtown Manhattan. The future office tower will eventually rise 34 stories and 551 feet tall, making it stand out amongst the local vicinity. Covering 300,000 square feet, it incorporates a mix of a glass curtain wall on the eastern facade with staggered open terraces for workers to step out and see the views of the skyline. HFZ Capital Group is the developer of the upcoming project.
