The Hudson Yards section of Midtown West is now home to a new, 399-key Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The 28-story building is located at 461 West 34th Street and will be managed by property owner Endeavor Hospitality Group. The project team also includes Marx Development Group and architect DSM Design Group.
Last month, YIMBY posted the first look at plans and renderings for 270 Park Avenue, which will become the future headquarters for JPMorgan Chase. The structural behemoth will become one of the largest office buildings in the Five Boroughs upon completion, totaling 2.5 million square feet and rising approximately 1,425 feet to its pinnacle. Today, we have another look at the project thanks to visualization firm ATCHAIN. While this image is the most refined of what has been revealed to date, differences in the silhouette between this version and the one leaked in a JPMorgan Chase report accompanying YIMBY’s last post indicate that this specific version could already be outdated relative to the previous reveal.
Construction is making vertical progress at 1245 Broadway in NoMad, the site of a 23-story Skidmore Owings and Merrill-designed commercial office building. The 318-foot-tall, 200,000-square-foot project is being co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern and built by Triton Construction. CBRE has begun leasing the building’s class A office space, and is also in charge of leasing for the ground-floor retail component.
Demolition of the former DoubleTree Suites by Hilton has kicked off at 1568 Broadway to make way for a new 46-story mixed-use tower. The new structure will debut as TSX Broadway and is developed in collaboration by L&L Holding Company, Maefield Development, and Fortress Investment Group.
YIMBY went to check out the views from the 75th floor of SHoP Architects‘ 111 West 57th Street. The world’s most slender building has nearly perfectly centered views of Central Park to the north, and clear views of the Empire State Building down to One World Trade Center to the south. JDS Development, Property Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners are developing the 1,428-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which has a height-to-width ratio of 24:1. A total of 46 condominiums will be created and marketed by Douglas Elliman. Studio Sofield is the interior designer.
