Exterior Work on Margaritaville Resort Nears Completion at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square

Façade installation is progressing on the 234-room Margaritaville Resort at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square. Designed by Stonehill Taylor and developed by Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties along with MHP Real Estate Services, the 375-foot-tall tower is now almost fully enclosed in its glass window wall, with just the upper-most floors remaining. The 29-story structure is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 40th Street, one avenue to the east of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The project is expected to cost around $300 million.

100-Story Supertall Rumored as Replacement For Roosevelt Hotel at 45 East 45th Street in Midtown East

After it was announced last week that the historic Roosevelt Hotel would be closing its doors, owner Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has since teased to what will become of the Midtown East building. One possibility is a new hotel standing 100 stories. Set in a prime location, the block-long 19-story structure is bordered by Madison and Vanderbilt Avenues and East 45th and 46th streets.

Exclusive Renderings Revealed for KPF’s Supertall 343 Madison Avenue, in Midtown East

The first renderings have appeared online for Kohn Pedersen Fox‘s planned 925,630-square-foot supertall at 343 Madison Avenue in Midtown East. While the full presentation from early September has yet to be posted online in spite of the city’s allegedly transparent public hearing process, YIMBY Forumer rgarri has created our own look at the tower and its future position on the Midtown skyline among other supertalls also in the planning stages.
