New Renderings Released For Extell’s 570 Fifth Avenue Skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan

Updated renderings have been released for 570 Fifth Avenue, a forthcoming 1-million-square-foot commercial skyscraper in the Diamond District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Extell, the structure will house an 80,000-square-foot IKEA in the two cellar levels and Class A office space above. The property is located along Fifth Avenue between West 46th and 47th Streets.

Updated Renderings Revealed For Foster + Partners’ PENN15 Supertall Proposal in Midtown, Manhattan

A new series of renderings has been released for PENN15, a proposed commercial supertall skyscraper at 15 Penn Plaza in MidtownManhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the project’s scope was recently reduced from 56 to 50 stories and 1,200 feet to 1,000 feet, and will now yield 2.2 million square feet of office space, down from 2.7 million. The property is located along Seventh Avenue between West 32nd and 33rd Streets, directly across from Penn Station.

Vornado Realty Trust recently completed work on Plaza33, a new pedestrian plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Developed through a public-private partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation, Plaza33 features mature trees, landscaping, stone benches, and colorful chairs and tables. It aims to beautify the neighborhood and provide a connection to transit, amenities, nearby office buildings, and over 70 new food and beverage offerings. The plaza is located at the intersection of 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue.
