Designed by SLCE Architects for Zeckendorf Development, the 185-foot-tall structure will yield 71,961 square feet and 62 units. The property is located between Lexington and Park Avenues, directly adjacent to Norman Foster‘s 47-story office skyscraper at 425 Park Avenue.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 504 West 49th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. Located between 10th and 11th Avenues, the lot is two blocks west of the 50th Street subway station, serviced by the C and E trains. Joel Kolkmann of Douglaston Development is listed as the owner behind the applications. Permit details also specify this is a Department of Housing Preservation and Development project.
Demolition work is ramping up at 343 Madison Avenue, site of a 1,050-foot commercial supertall in Midtown East. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Boston Properties, the 754,120-square-foot structure will yield 748,618 square feet of office space, 2,130 square feet of retail space, and 2,372 square feet of subterranean circulation paths to Grand Central Terminal and the future East Side Access project. The skyscraper is replacing a 105-year-old 15-story building between East 44th and 45th Streets that formerly housed the Metropolitan Transportation Authority headquarters.

Demolition permits have been filed for the eight-story, 102-foot-tall commercial building at 244-250 West 49th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. The 8,034-square-foot lot is owned by the Hakimian Organization.
