Construction continues to rise on Xadia Hotel, a 42-story hotel tower at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Marin Architects and developed by Wei Hong Hu under the H Hotel LLC, the 475-foot-tall structure will yield 173 guest rooms and amenities including a restaurant, an arcade, and a rooftop bar. The property is located on a narrow interior plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, one block south of Bryant Park.

660 Lexington Avenue Rises Above Street Level in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is now above street level on 660 Lexington Avenue, a 19-story residential building in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Zproekt Architecture and developed and built by Sergey Rybak of Rybak Development under the 660 Lexington Avenue Development LLC, the 233-foot-tall structure will span 52,558 square feet and yield 23 condominium units with an average scope of 2,123 square feet, as well as 2,551 square feet of commercial space, 1,174 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. The property is alternately addressed as 133 East 55th Street and located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 55th Street.

ODA’s 126 East 57th Street Continues Vertical Progress in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is continuing to progress on 126 East 57th Street, a 28-story residential tower on Billionaires’ Row in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by MRR Development under the MRR 1326 LLC, the 346-foot-tall structure will yield 147 condominium units with an average scope of 1,156 square feet, as well as 5,000 square feet of lower-level retail space. The property is located at the corner of East 56th Street and Lexington Avenue, with a narrow panhandle extension to East 57th Street.

201-207 Seventh Avenue Tops Out in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 201-207 Seventh Avenue, a nine-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Amie Gross Architects and developed by New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development under the Chelsea HDFC, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 30,859 square feet and yield 26 affordable co-op units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 1,828 square feet of retail space divided among three tenants. The property is alternately addressed as 170 West 22nd Street and located at the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue and West 22nd Street.

335 Eighth Avenue Rises Above Street Level in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 335 Eighth Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by MAG Partners and Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc., with financing provided by global holding company Safanad, the structure will span approximately 200,000 square feet and yield 188 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as a 23,000-square-foot Lidl supermarket and additional ground-floor retail space. Thirty percent of the homes will be reserved for affordable housing. The property is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses.

New Leases Announced for 299 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

Fisher Brothers recently announced more than 60,000 square feet of leasing activity at 299 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. The property has seen a lease renewal from law firm Becker, Glynn, Muffly, Chassin & Hosinski LLP, a lease renewal from real estate capital markets firm Park Madison Partners, and a new lease with investment company MacKay Shields LLC.

The Corcoran Group Relocates To Full-Floor Of 220 West 19th Street In Chelsea, Manhattan

Avison Young recently arranged a new 10-year lease at 220 West 19th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan, on behalf of landlord Red Circle NY Corp. The lease will be a relocation for The Corcoran Group’s Chelsea office from its current location at 218 West 18th Street. The 9,200-square-foot lease will span the entire fifth floor of the boutique owner-occupied office building. The space is fully built, furnished, and wired.

300 East 50th Street Reaches Halfway Mark in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 300 East 50th Street, a 23-story residential building in the Turtle Bay section of Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by MAG Partners in collaboration with Global Holdings, KRW Realty Advisors, Krown Point, and Safanad, the 275-foot-tall structure will span 170,000 square feet and yield 194 units, with 30 percent allocated to affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, and a 30-foot-long side yard. 300 East 50th Street Owner LLC is listed as the owner and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Second Avenue and East 50th Street.

Façade Installation Continues on One Times Square in Times Square, Manhattan

Façade installation is moving along on One Times Square, a 26-story commercial tower at 1475 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by S9 Architecture with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Jamestown, the $500 million project involves the full gut renovation and re-cladding of the 120-year-old, 395-foot-tall steel-framed structure, along with the addition of new LED displays and public viewing decks with platforms that will overlook the district. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 43rd Street to the north, West 42nd Street to the south, Broadway to the east, and Seventh Avenue to the west.
