Façade work continues on the Chelsea Aloft Hotel, a 32-story tower at 132 West 28th Street. Designed by Peter Poon Architects and developed by Frank Ng, the 326-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 203 guest rooms. Milestone Construction Corporation is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in the Flower District.
Exterior work is finishing up on Rose Hill, a 45-story residential skyscraper at 30 East 29th Street in Midtown‘s NoMad district. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Rockefeller Group, the 639-foot-tall Art Deco-inspired structure yields 123 condominiums marketed by CORE Real Estate. The one- to four-bedroom homes range in price from $1.385 million to $19.5 million for an upper penthouse. The property is located between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South, and stands on the site of the 130-acre Rose Hill Farm estate that once occupied this section on the island.
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, New York City’s fifth public high-rise observatory, officially opened to the public yesterday afternoon at 1:00 PM. A group of SL Green Realty executives, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt creators, One Vanderbilt partners, and New York City leaders gathered atop the 91st floor of the 65,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor venue earlier yesterday morning to give speeches and cut a ceremonial ribbon before the first visitors arrived.
Podium work is progressing for Madison House, an 805-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue and the tallest structure in the Midtown district of NoMad. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle and will yield 199 condominiums with sales and marketing led by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, as well as 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Madison House has a footprint stretching between East 30th and 31st Streets and Madison Avenue. Madison House is currently more than 50 percent sold with over $300 million in sales, and occupancy is expected to begin this winter.
