50 Ninth Avenue Completes Construction in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction wraps up on 50 Ninth Avenue, a nine-story commercial renovation and expansion at the intersection of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and the West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects for Tavros Capital with Fogarty Finger responsible for all interiors and the storefront, the project involved the restoration of a row of landmarked townhomes and the construction of an office structure set back from the street, and yields 57,000 square feet of office space and 30,000 square feet of flexible retail space. Broadway Construction Group is the general contractor for the project. The property is alternately addressed as 351-355 West 14th Street and located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 14th Street.

The Ellery Nears Completion At 312 West 43rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction is almost finished on The Ellery, a 33-story mixed-use tower at 312 West 43rd Street on the southern border of Hell’s Kitchen in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by National Real Estate Advisors and Taconic Partners, the 401-foot-tall structure will yield 330 rental units in studio to two-bedrooms layouts, as well as 28,000 square feet of amenities and up to 42,000 square feet of retail space spread across two levels. The property is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, directly north of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and its subway station, servicing the A, C, and E trains.

Excavation Continues for 68-Story Skyscraper at 100 West 37th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 100 West 37th Street, the site of a 68-story mixed-use skyscraper in the Garment District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Sioni Group under the 989 Sixth Realty LLC, the 743-foot-tall structure will span 384,118 square feet and yield 300 condominium units with an average scope of 991 square feet, as well as 86,817 square feet of commercial space and two cellar levels. The property is alternately addressed as 989-993 Sixth Avenue and located at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street.

New Renderings Reveal Port Authority Bus Terminal Overhaul in Midtown, Manhattan

Additional renderings and diagrams have been revealed for the proposed overhaul of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and Epstein as a joint venture for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), the $10 billion project will replace the 74-year-old, 2.1-million-square-foot structure spanning two city blocks between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and West 40th and 42nd Streets. The City Planning Commission has just begun the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) to hear from the public and local community.

300 East 50th Street Tops Out In Midtown, Manhattan

300 East 50th Street has topped out in Midtown, Manhattan. The $200 million project was developed in partnership between MAG Partners, Global Holdings, and Safanad, and was designed by BKSK Architects. The 170,000-square-foot building was built on the assemblage of multiple sites which were originated by Krown Capital and KRW Realty.

Permits Filed for 33-Story Hotel at 170 West 48th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for a 33-story hotel at 170 West 48th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the lot is one block from the 49th Street subway station, serviced by the N, R, and W trains and 47-50 Streets-Rockefeller Center station, serviced by the B, D, F, and M trains. Raj Guru of Atlas Hospitality is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Silverstein Properties has announced two new leases at 1177 Avenue of the Americas, a Class A office tower in Midtown, Manhattan. The new leases will occupy 47,929 square feet in the building, which is home to tenants including The Weather Channel and Practicing Law Institute.

520 Fifth Avenue Surpasses Halfway Mark in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction has surpassed the halfway mark on 520 Fifth Avenue, an 88-story residential supertall skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, the 1,002-foot-tall structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units, a residents-only amenity floor on level 88, boutique office floors, a private members only club called Moss, and four cellar levels. The project is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

Exterior Work Continues On Hotel Meta At 450 11th Avenue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Exterior work is continuing on 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 51-story hotel structure in Hudson Yards. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the 642-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 379 guest rooms and amenities including a business center, a ballroom, banquet and conference spaces, a spa, a fitness center, and a multi-level restaurant with a bar and outdoor terrace. The property is located at the corner of West 37th Street and Eleventh Avenue, directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

335 Eighth Avenue Reaches Pinnacle in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction has reached the final floor of 335 Eighth Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by MAG Partners and Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc., the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 188 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, a 23,000-square-foot Lidl supermarket, and additional ground-floor retail space. Thirty percent of the homes will be reserved for affordable housing. The property is being built by Urban Atelier Group and is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses.
