It has been over five months since we last checked in on the progress of 3 World Trade Center. At the end of August, the glass was nearly halfway up the supertall tower. Since then, it has come much closer to the top.
On Saturday, four concrete pumps descended on a web of rebar to conduct the first pour for the foundation of One Vanderbilt, a 58-story, 1.7-million-square-foot commercial tower under construction adjacent to Grand Central Terminal in Midtown East. The progress can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits have the 1,401-foot-tall tower measuring 1,755,814 square feet.
Newark, N.J.-based F.M. Renaissance is planning to redevelop the dilapidated, four-story former Murphy Varnish Works industrial complex at 127 Chestnut Street, located on the corner of McWhorter Street in Newark’s Ironbound district.
New renderings have been revealed of the redesigned eight-story, 22-unit mixed-use project under development at 75 First Avenue, located between East Fourth and Fifth streets in the East Village. The project’s developer, Colonnade Group, is expecting the building’s condominiums to sell for a combined $42 million, The Real Deal reported. The latest building permits indicate the structure will encompass 30,058 square feet and rise 80 feet to its main roof.
Spitzer Enterprises and Related Companies are partnering to develop a two-tower, 1.4 million square-foot mixed-use project at 511 West 35th Street and 451 Tenth Avenue, located in Hudson Yards.
