One Boerum Place’s Superstructure Quickly Rising in Downtown Brooklyn

The angular reinforced concrete superstructure of One Boerum Place is rapidly taking shape in Downtown Brooklyn. Located on a narrow site bound by Boerum Place, Red Hook Lane, and Fulton Street, the mixed-use condominium building will eventually top out at 21 stories. The project is being designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Avery Hall InvestmentsAllegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group, which acquired a $165 million construction loan from Jutland Finance. One Boerum Place is expected to cost around $250 million.

Renderings Revealed for 70-Story Avalon Tower at 444 Washington Boulevard in Jersey City

Renderings have been revealed of Avalon Tower, a 70-story skyscraper that will be one of the tallest structures to rise in Jersey City and all of the state. Approved last month, the 950-unit building will be located at 444 Washington Boulevard near the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. The developer, known as Tower Cove Jersey City Urban Renewal, plans to build the tower on the northwest corner of the site, which is currently occupied by a parking lot. Part of the project includes public spaces called the East Coast Greenway Plaza and Overlook Plaza along Thomas Gangemi Drive that will offer Manhattan skyline views, a pedestrian terrace, a children’s play area, and a dog run.

BKSK Architects will appear before the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission seeking approval for the renovation and expansion of a low-rise property in Greenwich Village. Located on an irregular corner lot at 21 Greenwich Avenue, the two existing structures on the site include a shuttered ground-floor restaurant facing West 10th Street and a separate three-story brick building with additional frontage on Greenwich Avenue. The latter once supported a small ground-floor gallery along Greenwich Avenue and residential area positioned on the second and third floors of the property.
