Construction has finished at 78 West 3rd Street in Greenwich Village, where a pre-war, three-story townhouse received an extra floor and a horizontal extension. Permits call for a 2,997-square-foot commercial space on the lower levels. Five residential units take up 3,825 square feet on the floors above, averaging 765 square feet per unit. CEJ Properties LLC is the owner.
A five-story, 68-unit mixed-use building is planned at 1558 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, located between Custer and Gates avenues in the Greenville section of southern Jersey City. The project will feature commercial-retail space on the ground floor, as well as a 79-car parking garage, Jersey Digs reported. Jersey City-based Myneni Towers LLC is the developer. Plans were approved by the Jersey City Planning Board and the Hudson County Planning Board in 2016. The 29,000-square-foot site is vacant. A construction timeline has not been disclosed.
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration has selected Jonathan Rose Companies and L+M Development Partners to develop a multi-building, affordable mixed-use project at 1691 Madison Avenue, located on most of the block bound by Park and Madison avenues and East 111th and 112th streets in East Harlem.
A ground-breaking ceremony was held last week for the first phase of a mixed-use project at 700 Jackson Street, located on two blocks between 6th and 8th streets in Hoboken, N.J. The first phase will see the construction of a single-story, 6,835-square-foot community gymnasium along Jackson Street, between 6th and 7th streets, and public park space across both blocks. Significant infrastructure work will also be done as part of the first phase, expected to be complete by 2019, Jersey Digs reported.
It has been over five months since we last checked in on the progress of 3 World Trade Center. At the end of August, the glass was nearly halfway up the supertall tower. Since then, it has come much closer to the top.
