Construction is rising on 192 Montague Street, a 20-story residential building in the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District of Brooklyn Heights. The 140,700-square-foot structure is designed by Beyer Blinder Belle with James M. Patterson of Ancora Engineering listed as the applicant of record, and developed by Midtown Equities, which purchased the 10,000-square-foot site for $25 million from HSBC Bank.
Construction is wrapping up on The Central at 5th, a 367-foot-tall Hilton Grand Vacation Hotel at 12 East 48th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Hidrock Realty, the 31-story structure will yield 161 rooms across 125,000 square feet. DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, The Rinaldi Group is the general contractor, and IBA Consulting & Engineering, PLLC is the envelope consultant for the building, which is located between Madison Avenue to the east and Fifth Avenue to the west.
Work is progressing on Eastlight, a 34-story, 388-foot-tall condominium building in Manhattan’s Kips Bay. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by 200 East 34th LLC, which is listed as the owner on permits, the 135,094-square-foot project will yield 144 condominiums and 2,992 square feet of commercial space on the lower levels. The site is located at 501 Third Avenue, at the corner of Third Avenue and East 34th Street and is alternately addressed as 200 East 34th Street. Alongside the recent launch of the building’s website, the 4,600-square-foot sales gallery is also now open on the 29th floor of 475 Park Avenue South. Views of Eastlight are visible from within, and the gallery also includes a full-scale model of the building and its location in Manhattan in relation to nearby neighborhoods such as NoMad, Midtown, Gramercy Park, and the Flatiron District.
Mack-Cali Realty Corporation has revealed new renderings and forthcoming components of its ongoing transformation of the Harborside commercial campus in Jersey City. The development is located on the shores of Hudson River and includes Harborside buildings 1, 2, and 3, a trio of low-rise office buildings that will be fully renovated for the modern office tenant.
Herald Square may soon be home to a new 900-foot-tall skyscraper perched atop Macy’s historic Herald Square flagship store. In addition to the high-rise tower, the retailer this week announced that the proposed scope of work includes a $235 million investment in the surrounding neighborhood.
