533 Mercer Street, aka 289 Jordan, Approaches Halfway Point in Jersey City

Construction is nearing the halfway mark at 533 Mercer Street, aka 289 Jordan, in Jersey City. The superstructure has been steadily rising and will eventually top out as one of the tallest buildings to the west of the main downtown district. The 16-story structure is designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects and developed by Mercer Jordan LLC, an affiliate of New York-based company Sequoia Development GroupGRID Real Estate, and Dresdner Robin. 111 West 57th Street’s Terracotta Envelope Reaches Steel Crown in Midtown

The terracotta and bronze façade has reached the bottom of the steel crown of SHoP Architects‘ 111 West 57th Street, the second-tallest project in YIMBY’s construction countdown. Developed by JDS DevelopmentProperty Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, the 1,428-foot-tall residential skyscraper features a height-to-width ratio of 24:1, making it the most slender building in the world. A total of 46 condominiums will be created and marketed by Douglas EllimanStudio Sofield is the interior designer.
