Morris Adjmi-Designed Mixed-Use Building Coming to 625 Driggs Avenue, Williamsburg

YIMBY has the scoop on a six-story mixed-use building coming to 625 Driggs Avenue, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The project is in one of the most active areas of the neighborhood. The Bedford Avenue Subway Station is five blocks away, which is the first stop in Brooklyn for the L train, and the East River waterfront is another five blocks to the west. Redsky Capital, whose business is a three-minute walk from the site, will be responsible for development.

Today YIMBY has the reveal for 111 Willow Avenue, an attractive new development coming to The Bronx’s booming Port Morris neighborhood, by Newman Design Architects. The industrial-inspired exterior takes influence from its surroundings. Residential and manufacturing buildings predominate in the vicinity, and the site is six blocks away from the Cypress Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 6 train.

Permits Filed for 957 Grand Street, East Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 957 Grand Street in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Grand Street Subway Station, serviced by the L train. Right past the Subway Station is an active avenue of stores, restaurants, and bars. Mures Corporation will be responsible for the development.

Permits Filed for 39-25 27th Street, Long Island City, Queens

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 39-25 27th Street in Long Island City, Queens. The site is a dozen blocks from the East River waterfront, and five blocks away from 39th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Astoria-based Anthony Cucich will be responsible for the development and design.

Renderings Revealed for New Timber Buildings at 320 and 360 Wythe Avenue, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Leasing has begun for two timber buildings being built at 320 and 360 Wythe Avenue, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The projects are making history by way of construction materials, and will become the first new developments in over a century to be built in New York City with a timber structure. Hansen Architects, established in 1945, will be responsible for the design.

Rendering Revealed for Raymond Chan-Designed 43-46 39th Place, Sunnyside, Queens

Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 43-46 39^th Place, in Sunnyside, Queens. The site is a block from the 40^th Street-Lowery Street Station, serviced by the 7 train. The lot is right on the corner of Queens Boulevard, which is populated with retail and restaurant storefronts for several blocks, and YIMBY now has the reveal for the design, by Raymond Chan Architects.

Permits Filed for 651 Fourth Avenue, South Slope, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a ten-story mixed-use building at 651 Fourth Avenue, in South Slope, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Prospect Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the D, N, R, and W trains. Across the street from the lot is the Al-Noor School, a private K-12 school of Islamic affiliations, serving 650 enrolled students. Greenwood Cemetery is also nearby, and Prospect Park is about a mile away.

Permits Filed for 98 Front Street, 10-Story Residential Project Coming to Dumbo, Brooklyn

The first permits are up for a ten-story mixed-use building at 98 Front Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks from the York Street Subway Station, serviced by the F trains, and five blocks away from the High Street-Brooklyn Bridge Station, serviced by the A and C trains. This gives it quick access to Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn. Hope Street Capital will be responsible for development.

Permits Filed For 11-Story & 168-Unit 69-65 Yellowstone Boulevard, Forest Hills, Queens

Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 69-65 Yellowstone Boulevard, in Forest Hills, Queens. The site is just three blocks away from the Forest Hills 71^st Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the E, F, M, and R trains, which offer a twenty-minute commute into Manhattan. Flushing Meadows Corona Park is another few blocks past the subway, and is home to the Queens Museum, Zoo and Botanical Garden. Slate Property Group will be responsible for development.

Construction Nearly Complete for 207 West 79th Street, Upper West Side

YIMBY has an update on construction for 207 West 79th Street, a 13-story residential building on the Upper West Side. Our last report on the site’s progress in September of 2016 showed construction had just reached the seventh floor, with no façade installation underway. The site is just an Avenue away from the American Natural History Museum, and two Avenues away from Central Park. There is close access to the 1, 2, A, B, and C trains by foot.
