Douglaston Development has revealed new renderings of a 17-story residential building under construction at 1057 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by dencityworks, a local architecture studio, the 474,000-square-foot building will deliver 456 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, and 31,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Exterior work is nearing completion on The Harper, a 21-story residential building at 310 East 86th Street in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by IGI-USA, the 145,000-square-foot structure will yield 63 condominium units in two- to four-bedroom layouts with prices starting at $2.1 million, as well as ground-floor retail space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor and CORE is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is located between First and Second Avenues.
Excavation is set to begin at 239 Nevins Street, the site of a potential 260,000-square-foot residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital, which purchased the property from Atkins & Breskin for $13.47 million in a deal brokered by CBRE, the project’s scope includes 26,465 square feet of air rights acquired from an adjacent building. The lot, also addressed as 251 Douglas Street, was formerly occupied by a 10,000-square-foot one-story garage and is located at the corner of Nevins and Douglas Streets.

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital, the 600,000-square-foot complex will yield 654 rental units with 25 percent designated as affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space and a public waterfront esplanade designed by James Corner Field Operations. Broadway Construction Group is the general contractor for the 2.3-acre full-block property, which is bound by Union Street to the north, Carroll Street to the south, Nevins Street to the east, the Gowanus Canal to the west.
Bronx Pro Group and Services for the UnderServed recently welcomed the first wave of residents to 1769 Jerome Avenue, a newly completed affordable and supportive housing property in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx. Marvel is the project architect and landscape architect for Jerome Court, the 16-story building comprising 175 apartments, including 105 supportive housing units, 69 affordable housing units, and one superintendent’s unit.
