Major Mixed-Use and Affordable Housing Development ‘Liberty Towers’ Revealed for St. George, Staten Island

A massive mixed-use housing development may be coming to the St. George neighborhood in Staten Island. The project, which comprises residential and commercial use, affordable housing, open space, and accessory parking, will have two sites: 170-208 Richmond Terrace and 8-26 Stuyvesant Place. Developer Madison Realty Capital under the Richmond SI Owner LLC is seeking approval for zoning map amendments, zoning text amendments, and special permits in order to begin work on the four-building, 911,752-square-foot complex near the St. George waterfront and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The site includes 224 Richmond Terrace, a 60,000-square-foot, 40-unit condominium property that Madison Realty Capital acquired in 2012.

Madison House Nears Completion at 126 Madison Avenue in NoMad

Exterior work is still wrapping up on Madison House, NoMad’s tallest residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 805-foot-tall, 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing of its 199 condominiums. The project also includes 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

500 West 22nd Street’s Exterior Progresses Behind Scaffolding in Chelsea

Work is moving along at 500 West 22nd Street, an eight-story mixed-use project in Chelsea that YIMBY first reported on in late April 2016. Alternately addressed as 197 Tenth Avenue, the structure is designed by Union Street Studio LLC and developed by Brantwood Capital and will yield eight residential units. The building is located at the intersection of Tenth Avenue and West 22nd Street not far from the High Line, and will span 33,662 square feet with 1,959 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and cellar levels.
