The Paxton’s Façade Nears Completion at 540 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is nearing completion on The Paxton, a 43-story mixed-use skyscraper at 540 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management, the 511-foot-tall tower will yield 330,000 square feet with 327 residential units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, 137,075 square feet of commercial space, and 33,000 square feet of retail space in the multi-story podium. M.N.S. is handling sales and marketing for the residential component of the property, which is located by the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street.

50 Hudson Yards Celebrates Grand Opening in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Last Wednesday, developers Related Companies, Mitsui Fudosan America, and Oxford Properties celebrated the grand opening of 50 Hudson Yards, a 78-story supertall commercial skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by Foster + Partners, the 1,011-foot-tall structure is the largest building by volume in the first phase of the Hudson Yards complex and the fourth-largest in the city overall, yielding 2.9 million feet of office space. ArcelorMittal provided the steel components, R&R Scaffolding provided the BMU equipment, Langan Engineering is the civil and environmental engineer, and WSP is the structural and MEP engineer for the $3.8 billion project, which occupies a full block bound by West 34th Street to the north, West 33rd Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and Hudson Boulevard to the west.

The Cappelli Organization was recently joined by local officials to celebrate the completion and grand opening of 3Thirty3, a new high-rise residential tower in New Rochelle. Located at 333 Huguenot Street, the 28-story building features 285 apartments and a collection on indoor-outdoor amenity spaces.

1841 Broadway’s Façade Takes Shape on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade work is continuing on 1841 Broadway, a 25-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall, 180,813-square-foot structure will yield 173 market-rate and affordable housing units, and 11,741 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.

141 Willoughby Street Wraps Up Construction in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 141 Willoughby Street, a 24-story commercial building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger with SLCE as the executive architect and developed by Savanna Real Estate, the structure will yield 400,000 square feet of Class A offices and lower-level retail space. Gilbane Building Company and Savcon are the general contractors, Thornton Tomasetti is the structural engineer, and AKF Group is the MEP engineer for the property, which stands on a trapezoidal plot bound by Willoughby Street to the south, Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east, and Gold Street to the west.

510 Driggs Avenue Wrapping Up Construction In Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is finishing up on 510 Driggs Avenue, a six-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Woods Bagot and developed by Northlink Capital, the 79,500-square-foot structure will yield 44 units in studio to four-bedroom layouts with sales led by The Serhant Team of Nest Seekers Development Marketing, as well as 12,820 square feet of commercial space. Ray Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Driggs Avenue and North 8th Street.

286 Wythe Avenue Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Designed by Fischer & Makooi Architects and developed by Wythe Holding LLC, the 70-foot-tall building will yield 82,458 square feet with 45 rental units, 13,302 square feet of retail space, a cellar level, and 23 enclosed parking spaces. YNH Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by North 1st Street to the north, Grand Street to the south, and Wythe Avenue to the east.

241 West 28th Street’s Brick Façade Nears Completion in Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade work nears completion on 241 West 28th Street, a pair of 22-story residential buildings in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, the 400,000-square-foot complex is aiming for LEED Silver certification and will yield 480 units with 30 percent reserved for low- and middle-income households, as well as 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues with frontage on both West 28th and 29th Streets.

278 Eighth Avenue Passes Halfway Mark in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction has passed the halfway mark on 278 Eighth Avenue, a 14-story mixed-use building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Chelsea 23rd Realty Corporation, an LLC affiliated with JJ Operating, the 175-foot-tall structure will yield 132,700 square feet with 190 rental apartments and multiple levels of retail space. Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank provided $183 million in construction financing for the project. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Eighth Avenue between West 23rd and West 24th Streets.

Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by RXR Realty, the structure will yield 145,643 square feet with 200 rental units, including 60 rent-stabilized units for middle-income households, as well as a small retail volume on the ground floor and a parking garage equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.
