Façade Installation Nears Pinnacle of 16 Dupont Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Curtain wall installation has reached the final floors of 16 Dupont Street, a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s 22-acre Greenpoint Landing master plan. Designed by GKV Architects and developed by Rockefeller Group and Park Tower Group, the 400-foot-tall structure will span 365,651 square feet and yield 381 rental units, with 115 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 2,548 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 138 enclosed parking spaces. The property is located at the intersection of Dupont, West, and Commercial Streets.

Exterior work is finishing up on 218 Front Street, a seven-story, two-building residential complex in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by S. Wieder Architect and developed and built by Chess Builders, the project will yield 218 rental apartments with 66 affordable housing units, as well as 350 square feet of commercial space and 180 square feet of community space on the ground floor. The property is bound by Front Street to the north and York Street to the south, and was formerly occupied by a one-story industrial warehouse and an open-air lumber yard.

New Renderings Released For 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive in Hunters Point, Queens

New renderings have been revealed for 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive, a two-tower complex in the Hunters Point South master plan in Hunters Point, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the development consists of a 34-story, 390-foot-tall structure with 575 units at 2-20 Malt Drive and a two-tower building at 2-21 Malt Dive with a 38-story, 440-foot-tall tower and a 25-story, 310-foot-tall sibling collectively housing 811 units. The project will span 1.43 million square feet and yield 1,386 rental units, with 30 percent designated for affordable housing, as well as around 25,000 square feet of retail space. SCAPE Landscape Architecture is the landscape architect for the master plan, which will rise from a subdivided plot bound by 54th Avenue to the north, Newtown Creek to the south, and 2nd Street to the west.

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Tavros CapitalCharney Companies, and Canyon Partners, the 95-foot-tall structure will span 167,000 square feet and yield 214 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 25 percent designated as affordable housing, as well as 8,900 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The property is bound by Sackett Street to the north, Union Street to the south, and 3rd Avenue to the east.
