Three-Tower Development at 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive Rises Above Hunters Point, Queens

Construction is rising on 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive, a three-tower development in the Hunters Point South master plan in Hunters Point, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the project consists of a 34-story, 390-foot-tall structure that will yield 575 units at 2-20 Malt Drive and a two-tower design at 2-21 Malt Dive composed of a 38-story, 440-foot-tall high-rise and a 25-story, 310-foot-tall building. A final unit count for 2-21 Malt Drive has yet to be announced. Bud North LLC and Bud South LLC are the general contractors for 2-21 and 2-20 Malt Drive, respectively, which will rise from a subdivided plot bound by 54th Avenue to the north, Newton Creek to the south, and 2nd Street to the west.

Construction is complete on The Feather Lofts, a six-story residential conversion at 28-46 Roebling Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Michael Muroff Architect LLC and developed by Eser Realty, the project involved the full overhaul of a derelict warehouse and yields 31 loft apartments, ground-floor retail space, and amenities including a basement gym, laundry room, and roof deck. The Daly Team at Compass is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is bound by North 10th Street to the north, North 9th Street to the south, and Roebling Street to the east.

300 West 30th Street Completes Construction in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 300 West 30th Street, a 16-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Studio C Architects and developed by Hiwin USA, the structure yields 69 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as ground-floor retail space. Workshop/APD was the interior designer, Efin Management Corporation was the general contractor, and Corcoran New Development is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is located at the corner of West 30th Street and Eighth Avenue, a short walk from Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, and Moynihan Train Hall.

Designed by J Frankl Associates and developed by Clipper Equity, the structure will eventually comprise 143 rental units, ground-floor retail space, and a collection of tenant amenity spaces. The property was formerly addressed as 134 Hope Street and is expected to debut this spring.

550 Tenth Avenue Rises Above Street Level, in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction on 550 Tenth Avenue is quickly unfolding as the first floor of the 47-story residential skyscraper takes shape in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the ground-up 520-foot-tall reinforced concrete superstructure will span 430,000 square feet and yield a total of 453 rental units, with 137 residences for moderate and middle incomes, as well as 9,000 square feet of commercial retail space, over 20,000 square feet of residential amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.
