New Rendering Of 12-Story, 48-Unit Mixed-Use Building Under Construction At 2040 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, Harlem

Last Friday, YIMBY brought you a construction update on the 12-story mixed-use building rising at 2040 Frederick Douglass Boulevard (a.k.a. 285 West 110th Street), in Harlem. Later that day, the New York Times published a new rendering of the project along with updated details. Dubbed Circa Central Park, the building will have 48 condominium units, ranging from 647 square-foot one-bedrooms to 3,348 square-foot five-bedrooms. Three penthouses will top the terraced structure and 10 units will be sold at below-market rates. Many of the units will feature outdoor space, either in the form of private or shared areas. Since November, the structure has risen another floor and completion is expected in 2017.

Checking Out the Views And Lobby at Halcyon, 305 East 51st Street

People are already living at Halcyon, HFZ Capital Group’s 123-unit development at 305 East 51st Street in Midtown East, but construction is still incomplete. The retail space along Second Avenue is still being built, as are the 32nd and 33rd floor duplex penthouse units. The lobby, however, was recently completed and YIMBY got a look at it, a fourth floor model unit, and the views from one of the penthouses.

56-Story, 750-Unit Mixed-Use Tower Close To Topping Out At 333 Schermerhorn Street, DoBro

YIMBY last checked in on 333 Schermerhorn Street, in Downtown Brooklyn, back in September, and since then the structure has grown rapidly, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports. The 56-story, 750-unit mixed-use tower is only weeks from topping out, with just five floors to go, and façade work can also be seen wrapping around the lower portion of the skyscraper. Upon completion, it will be (temporarily) the tallest building in Brooklyn, standing 610 feet above street level. Of the residential units, 150 of them will be set aside as affordable housing and 34,823 square feet of retail space is planned. Douglas Steiner is developing, Dattner Architects is designing, and move-ins are expected in mid-2016.
