Wrapping up our Turkey Week rundown of prominent stalled and on-hold projects is 24-11 Jackson Avenue, a planned 55-story residential skyscraper in the Court Square section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies in partnership with Incoco Capital, the 676-foot-tall structure is slated to yield 600 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The property is bound by 45th Avenue to the north, Jackson Avenue to the southeast, and 23rd Street to the west.

111 Washington Street Skyscraper Put On Hold in Financial District, Manhattan

The next building on our Turkey Week rundown of stalled projects is 111 Washington Street, a 64-story residential skyscraper in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Carlisle New York Apartments and Grubb Properties, which closed on a $48 million loan for the project last summer, the 820-foot-tall structure will span 326,221 square feet and yield 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. The property is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets, south of the nearby World Trade Center complex.

The Delecor Finishes Construction at 250 East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is finishing up on The Delecor, a 31-story residential tower at 250 East 83rd Street in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure spans 215,608 square feet and yields 128 rental units in one- to four-bedroom layouts, as well as a collection of penthouses and ground-floor retail space. Kicking off our annual Turkey Week rundown of stalled projects in New York City is The Torch, a 1,067-foot mixed-use supertall skyscraper at 740 Eighth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by ODA with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Extell, the 52-story structure is planned to span 875,372 square feet and yield an 825-room hotel topped by a public outdoor observation deck with a drop ride attraction in the signature stemlike column. The property would also feature lower-level retail space, a restaurant on two of the upper floors, a VIP lounge, and a pool deck for hotel guests. The property is located along Eighth Avenue between West 45th and 46th Streets on the border of Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen.

1695 Second Avenue’s Foundations Near Completion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Below-grade work is progressing at 1695 Second Avenue, the site of a 23-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Alchemy-ABR with co-developer Azur, the 270-foot-tall structure will span 96,543 square feet and yield 51 rental units with an average scope of 1,842 square feet, as well as 2,507 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 88th Street.
