Three-Story, 40,000 Square-Foot Retail Building Planned At 220-10 Northern Boulevard, Bayside

RKF has been tapped to market the retail space in the planned three-story, 39,620 square-foot commercial development at 220-10 Northern Boulevard, in southern Bayside, according to Real Estate Weekly. The building will be be exclusively retail, with each floor boasting between 11,000 and 12,000 square feet of leasable space. A basement level will contain roughly 4,900 square feet of space. The retail structure will sit on the corner of 223rd Street and a connected 220-car parking garage will extend eastward up the sloped lot. A Burger King restaurant will first have to be demolished.

Reveal For Two-Story Retail Building At 159 Ludlow Street, Lower East Side

Late last summer, YIMBY reported on applications for a two-story, 2,126 square-foot retail building at 159 Ludlow Street, on the Lower East Side, and now Bowery Boogie has the project’s reveal, which will take the form of a glassy structure. Hesky Haim and Continental Worsteds are the developers, and DXA Studio is designing the project, which it calls the ‘glass box’. The building appears to include some form of rooftop garden, and will be available as event space. The lot is currently vacant and construction is expected to begin in 2016.

Commercial-Retail Conversion Planned For 4.5-Story Property At 11 Bond Street, NoHo

Aby Rosen’s RFR Realty has filed applications to convert and expand the 4.5-story building at 11 Bond Street, in NoHo, into a commercial property fit for a single retail tenant, according to Bowery Boogie. The 16,410 square-foot building, which also goes by 348 Lafayette Street, is currently a women’s shelter operated by the Center of Urban Community Services. Annabelle Selldorf is designing the project, which would require approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Aby Rosen acquired the property for $26 million over the summer.

Developer Planning Possible Mixed-Use Project At 120 Fifth Avenue Site, Park Slope

Avery Hall Investments is in contract to purchase the grocery store at 120 Fifth Avenue, in northern Park Slope, according to DNAinfo, and plans to close on the site in the second half of 2016. The developer is planning a mixed-use building with residential units and commercial space, although details have yet to be hammered out. A Key Food currently occupies the site, which is reportedly one of the largest development sites in the neighborhood.

Nava Companies has filed applications for an eight-story, six-unit mixed-use building at 14 White Street, in TriBeCa. The project will measure 19,703 square feet in total and includes 3,816 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Beginning on the second floor, there will be a single residential unit on each floor through the sixth, and a duplex unit will span the top two floors. Units will surely be condos, averaging 2,866 square feet each. DXA Studio is the architect of record.
