570 Fulton Street Begins Ascent in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Construction is ascending on 570 Fulton Street, a 23-story residential building along the border of Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn. Developed by 570 Fulton St LLC, the 128,872-square-foot structure will yield 155 rental units, ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, and an undisclosed collection of amenities. The project is located on a 7,200-square-foot interior lot situated between Rockwell Place to the east and Flatbush Avenue to the west. The architect remains to be publicly disclosed.

43-20 24th Street Tops Out in Long Island City, Queens

Construction has topped out on 43-30 24th Street, a 66-story residential skyscraper in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed and built by Carmel Partners, the 731-foot-tall tower will yield 921 units spread across 838,000 square feet and 17,400 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is bound by 43rd Avenue to the north, 44th Road to the south, 24th Street to the east, and 23rd Street to the west.

49-18 Vernon Boulevard Begins Construction in Long Island City, Queens

Construction has begun at 49-18 Vernon Boulevard, the site of a five-story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Gerald J. Caliendo R.A., A.I.A. Architect and developed by V&F 4918 LLC, the structure will yield an undisclosed number of residential units and ground-floor retail space. The property is located at the corner of Vernon Boulevard and 50th Avenue.

71 Prince Street Nears Topping Out in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is close to topping out on 71 Prince Street, a 31-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Maddd Equities, the $132 million project is expected to span 436,600 square feet and yield 465 rental units, 4,000 square feet of retail space, and 40 to 50 enclosed parking spots. Brooklyn Red Sauce LLC is listed as the owner of the property, which is alternately addressed as 202 Tillary Street and located on a 19,500-square-foot L-shaped parcel with frontages on Prince and Tillary Streets.

1487 First Avenue Tops Out Over Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction has topped out on 1487 First Avenue, a 35-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed and built by Carmel Partners, which purchased the property from Robert Chou for $73.5 million in early 2022, the 404-foot-tall structure will yield 206 condominium units, 7,120 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a cellar level. CP VII 78th Street Owner is the owner of the property, which is located at the southwestern corner of First Avenue and East 78th Street.

Updated Renderings Revealed For Foster + Partners’ PENN15 Supertall Proposal in Midtown, Manhattan

A new series of renderings has been released for PENN15, a proposed commercial supertall skyscraper at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the project’s scope was recently reduced from 56 to 50 stories and 1,200 feet to 1,000 feet, and will now yield 2.2 million square feet of office space, down from 2.7 million. The property is located along Seventh Avenue between West 32nd and 33rd Streets, directly across from Penn Station.

The Brook Tops Out At 589 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on The Brook, a 51-story residential skyscraper at 589 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Witkoff Group and Apollo Global Management, the 575-foot-tall structure will span 557,973 square feet and yield 591 rental units with an average scope of 827 square feet, with 30 percent of the inventory reserved for affordable housing, as well as 68,693 square feet of retail space, a cellar level, and two floors of recreational and sports amenities. Bonetti Kozerski is the interior designer and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is bound by DeKalb Avenue to the north, Fulton Street to the south, Flatbush Avenue diagonally to the east, and Bond Street to the west.

Construction Nears Topping Out At 98 Dekalb Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Construction is on the verge of topping out on 98 Dekalb Avenue, a 610-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, the 49-story structure will span 418,092 square feet and yield 609 residential units and 3,775 square feet of commercial space. The property is alternately addressed as 180 Ashland Place and located at the corner of Dekalb Avenue and Ashland Place.

Chelsea Canvas Wraps Up Construction At 280 West 24th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on Chelsea Canvas, a 14-story mixed-use building at 280 West 24th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Chelsea 23rd Realty Corporation, an LLC affiliated with JJ Operating, the 175-foot-tall structure spans 132,700 square feet and will yield 190 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 33,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and cellar levels. Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank provided $183 million in construction financing for the project, which was formerly addressed as 278 Eighth Avenue and is located along Eighth Avenue between West 23rd and West 24th Streets.

Work Continues on One High Line’s Public Plaza, Retail Space at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Work is progressing on the public plaza and ground-floor retail space at One High Line, a two-tower residential development at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Witkoff Group and Access Industries, the twisting 36- and 26-story structures will span combined 900,000 square feet and yield 236 condominium units in one- to five-bedroom layouts, as well as a hotel component operated by Faena Hotel and ground-floor retail space. The property is alternately addressed as 76 Eleventh Avenue and stands adjacent to the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 18th Street to the north, West 17th Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.
