Permits have been filed for two lots at 643 and 645 5th Avenue, in South Slope, Brooklyn. Developer Ranco Capital LLC hopes to create two mixed-use buildings, rising four and six floors respectively. The location is just blocks from the scenic Greenwood Cemetery, and surrounded by commercial retail. The nearest subway station, 25th Street, is a half-mile away, and serviced by the D, N, R, and W trains.
Construction is complete, and sales have officially begun for a 36-unit building at 554 Fourth Avenue, in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the 9th Street Subway Station, serviced by the D, F, G, N, R, and W trains. Also nearby is the Gowanus Canal. Residents will start to occupy the 11-story structure by mid-2018. Brookland Capital is responsible for development, and Douglas Elliman’s Tavivian Team will lead sales and marketing.
Last week, YIMBY featured an update on 606 Broadway, on West Houston Street. A few blocks east, an even larger building is rising on a slightly less irregularly-shaped lot, at 300 Lafayette Street, for which we have the latest images courtesy of Tectonic.
Another new opportunity for developers is coming to Brooklyn. The lot at 137 Carlton Avenue, in Fort Greene, is hitting the market, with TerraCRG asking for $2,795,000. The site currently holds 2,925 square feet and could be expanded to be as large as 9,500 buildable square feet.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 28 Herbert Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The development comes at the neighborhood border with Greenpoint, and will be just a few blocks away from Monsignor McGolrick Park. The site is just a third of a mile from the Graham Street station, serviced by the L train. An anonymous LLC will be responsible for the development.
