11 and 55 Gerry Street Wrap Up Construction in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn 

Construction is nearing completion on 11 and 55 Gerry Street, a two-building residential complex in the Broadway Triangle section of South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer + Makooi Architects and developed by Rabsky Group, the project consists of the ten-story 11 Gerry Street, which stands 105 feet tall, and the eight-story 55 Gerry Street, which stands 85 feet tall. Both structures span around 160,000 square feet and yield a combined 106 residential units. Both will also include ground-floor retail space and ambulatory diagnostic centers on their second stories. 11 and 55 Gerry Street are alternately addressed as 322-330 and 352 Wallabout Streets and occupy a trapezoidal plot bound by Harrison Avenue to the northeast, Wallabout Street to the northwest, Gerry Street to the southeast, and the confluence on Marcy and Union Avenues to the west.

New Renderings Showcase Related Companies and Wynn Resorts’ Master Plan for Phase Two of Hudson Yards

New renderings have been revealed for Related Companies and Wynn Resorts’ $12 billion mixed-use gaming complex proposal for the second phase of Hudson Yards. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the complex would consist of multiple skyscrapers housing 1,500 apartments, 2 million square feet of office space, a public grade school, a 5.6-acre park called Hudson Green designed by Hollander Design and Sasaki, and a daycare center. The new batch of towers would rise directly west of the first phase of Hudson Yards over the 13-acre Western Rail Yards bound by West 33rd Street to the north, West 30th Street to the south, Eleventh Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.

520 Fifth Avenue Approaches Final Set of Floors in Midtown, Manhattan 

Construction is closing in on the final floors of 520 Fifth Avenue, an 88-story mixed-use supertall skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, the 1,002-foot-tall structure will span 380,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units, a residents-only amenity floor on level 88, boutique office floors on the lower levels, a private members-only club called Moss, retail space, and four cellar levels. The project is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

335 Eighth Avenue’s Brick Façade Begins Installation in Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade installation is steadily progressing on 335 Eighth Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by MAG Partners and Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc., the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 188 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, a 23,000-square-foot Lidl supermarket, and additional ground-floor retail space. Thirty percent of the homes will be reserved for affordable housing. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the ground-up property, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses.

New Renderings Offer Additional Views of 315 Mulberry Street in Newark, New Jersey 

YIMBY spotted a new batch of exterior renderings for 315 Mulberry Street, a proposed set of residential skyscrapers planned to rise in the downtown section of Newark, New Jersey. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by KS Group and Giga Holdings, who submitted project plans to the city’s planning board for review a few weeks ago, the master plan will make it the tallest buildings in Newark yielding 1,008 rental units. It was last reported that the first tower will house 427 units over 51 stories, and the second tower will contain the remaining 581 units with a similar architectural height. Other aspects of the project will include a multi-story podium featuring commercial space and a parking garage, along with various indoor and outdoor residential amenities for residents. The site is bound by Mulberry Street to the east, Beach Street to the north, Orchard Street to the west, and East Kinney Street to the south.
