A Flushing-based property owner has filed applications for twin three-story, two-family houses at 67-09 and 67-11 185th Street, in Utopia, Queens. The buildings will measure 3,374 square feet each and, across both, the residential units should average a family-sized 1,266 square feet apiece. There will be a total of two off-street parking spaces. An Shen Ma’s Flushing-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 66-foot-wide, 5,050-square-foot property is occupied by a single-story house. Demolition permits were filed in September.
Back in July, the 10-story rental building under construction at 1511 Bedford Avenue in western Crown Heights had only reached six stories. Now Tectonic brings us the latest on the project, which has topped out on the northeastern corner of Lincoln Place and Bedford.
Last time YIMBY checked in on Prospect Plaza in March, construction on the big affordable development in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn was chugging right along. Now, another building has been filed for the second phase of the project, at 1760 Prospect Place between Howard and Saratoga avenues.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses has selected a buyer for its four-story recreational building at 69 Adams Street, located on the corner of Front Street in DUMBO. Neither the buyer nor the price of the sale have been disclosed, but it’s expected to close before 2017, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported. The 17,490-square-foot site can accommodate up to 157,410 square feet of mixed-use development, in the form of residential, commercial, and/or community facility space. Plans for the site have not been disclosed.
Construction is underway on the top floor of the eight-story, seven-unit mixed-use redevelopment project at 210 Bowery, in Nolita. The site’s existing four-story commercial building is receiving four more floors, or an additional 6,600 square feet of space, as seen in an update by Bowery Boogie.
