125 Greenwich Street Closing In On Final Floors Above The Financial District

125 Greenwich Street shot up with great speed in 2018, and is the 16th-tallest skyscraper under construction in New York City. Now, it has only a few floors remaining before its 912-foot pinnacle is reached above the Financial District. The 88-story tower is being designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group, while the marketing of the 273 residential units is being handled by Douglas Elliman. 941-Foot-Tall Tower Proposed as Rezoning Effort Begins for 625 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn

One of Brooklyn’s largest new developments has been proposed along Flatbush Avenue, at 625 Fulton Street, which could rise 941 feet to its rooftop. The site is a large trapezoidal piece of land just steps away from JDS Development’s 9 DeKalb Avenue. A major rezoning plan has been put forth that could potentially bring close to 1,800,000 gross square feet of mixed-use development to the nearly 89,000 square foot property, measuring about two acres in size. The site is bounded by Fulton Street to the south, Hudson Avenue to the west, DeKalb Avenue to the north, and Rockwell Place to the east.

Norman Foster’s 425 Park Avenue Officially Tops Out 897 Feet Atop Midtown East, Manhattan

425 Park Avenue held its official topping-out ceremony on December 3, 2018. Its architect Lord Norman Foster, head of Foster + Partners, along with several keynote speakers including David Levinson of L&L Holding Company LLC and Masaoki Kanematsu of Tokyu Land Corporation spoke at the reception, held on the 20th floor of the the building’s first and largest tiered setback. The 41-story, 897-foot tall building is the 17th-tallest building under construction in New York City, and has grown out of the old remains of the original structure that formerly stood on site. The un-demolished section is being repurposed as part of Midtown’s first new full-block office skyscraper in over 50 years. The tower is being developed by L&L Holding Company LLC while Adamson Associates is the architect of record.

With its reflective chevron window pattern on the north and south elevations, the glass residential building holds 1,260,000 square feet of space with 25,516 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. It was designed by Adamson Associates, and is being developed and marketed by Extell.
