Last December, renderings of plans for the site at 42 Trinity Place surfaced, with a design by FX Fowle. They came with news that the site could accommodate a 300,000 square foot as-of-right project. But YIMBY has now learned that the site may end up with a building in excess of one million square feet, for which we now have the first preliminary renderings.
The Rabksy Group is planning a six-story apartment building at 26 West Street, in Greenpoint. The ubiquitous architect Karl Fischer filed plans for the project in September, and now YIMBY has the site’s first rendering.
The Department of Buildings recently approved plans to transform a humble three-story brick storefront with apartments in Williamsburg into this metallic-looking six-story building. The century-old building at 555 Grand Street will expand from two apartments to 12, and gain 3,000 square feet of residential space for a new total of 8,668 square feet.
426 East 58th Street [New York Press]: Bauhouse Group is planning a 95-unit, 268,000 square-foot luxury residential building, standing “over 900 feet tall,” at their assemblage spanning 426-432 East 58th Street, in Midtown East. Plans are not final, and the site could be sold to another developer.
