Last week, hotel developer Sam Chang filed plans for a 25-story hotel at 338 West 39th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Now he has another hotel in the works next door at 342 West 39th Street.
In February of 2015, foundation work was underway at 34-32 35th Street, in southern Astoria, where a seven-story, 33-unit residential building is being constructed. Now the building has topped out and receiving its façade, according to The New York Times. Dubbed The Marx, the 28,957 square-foot building will feature condominiums measuring from 675 to 1,363 square feet, in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. Kaufman Astoria Studios and Bronx-based Procida Companies are developing, while Fogarty Finger is designing. Completion is slated for early 2016.
