The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) has approved the expansion of an existing residential building at 53 Pearl Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. With pre-construction underway, the building will slowly rise from four to eight stories.
Permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use tower at 1065 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Classon and Franklin Avenues, the interior lot is two blocks from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the C and S trains. Craig Miller of BEB Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 44-01 Northern Boulevard in Astoria, Queens. Located on a triangular site bordered by Northern Boulevard and 44th Street, the Steinway Street subway station is nearby and serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Brian Collins of Silverstein Properties is listed as the owner behind the applications.
L&M Development Partners and Wilder Balter Partners Inc. have completed work on their $190 million project in downtown New Rochelle, called ‘Stella’. The new addition to the city at 10 LeCount Place stands as a 28-story mixed-use residential building. The property is designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and offers 380 homes, including studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. The Marketing Directors is the exclusive leasing and marketing firm for the development. The gross monthly rents for the 285 market rate residences start around $2,000 per month. Stella is built to Enterprise Green Communities efficiency standard, including Energy Star appliances, Zero-VOC interior paints, LED light fixtures, and water- conserving plumbing fixtures.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is now reviewing proposals to replace a deteriorating low-rise property at 182-186 Spring Street with a new seven-story mixed-use building. The existing property is located in the Sullivan-Thompson Historic District, a newly designated district in the South Village section of Manhattan, and will require a Certificate of Appropriateness from the LPC before construction can break ground.
