The site is seven blocks away from the 170th street subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Five blocks further is the identically named train station, serviced by 4 trains. RJ Capital Holdings will be responsible for the development.

The site is two blocks away from the Gates Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Great Neck-based property owner Rafael Reihanian will be responsible for the development.

Recent permits filed detail a new three-building development on the eastern edge of Borough Park, Brooklyn. The site is comprised of both new and renovated multi-family homes, with house numbers 1663, 1667, and 1669 42nd Street. All three properties will stand 35 feet tall, and are divided into three stories with two residences.
When the old Bancroft Bank Building met the wrecking ball a few years ago, the site, at 3 West 29th Street, was tentatively planned to give rise to a residential tower designed by Moshe Safdie. In September of 2017, that changed, when HFZ Capital filed plans for a Bjarke Ingels-designed office skyscraper, as reported by YIMBY. Now, we have the exclusive reveal for the first renderings of the new building, which will apparently be even more prominent on the skyline than originally planned.
