Work is nearly complete on Anish Kapoor’s reflective “bean” sculpture at the base of 56 Leonard Street, an 831-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Tribeca. The work sits directly outside the main lobby of the tower, which was designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Hill West Architects and opened in 2017.
The Museum of Chinese in America has released the first batch of renderings for its permanent new home in Lower Manhattan. Located at 215 Centre Street in Chinatown, the headquarters will expand the existing building where the museum was reportedly paying $600,000 each year in rent.

Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architect, the structure yields 14 residences, seven parking spaces, and ground-floor commercial and community facility space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $85,715 to $167,570.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 827 Sterling Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Rogers and Nostrand Avenues, the lot is three blocks north of the Nostrand Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Jody Kriss of Kriss Capital LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Work is nearly complete on The Leyton, a 30-story residential tower at 1059 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Manuel Glas Architects and developed by Dart Interests and Real Estate Inverlad, the 481-foot-tall, 127,000-square-foot structure will yield 38 residences with sales and marketing led by Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing. Frampton Co. and Champalimaud Design are in charge of the interior design for the condominiums, which include ten full-floor homes and one duplex penthouse. 1059 Third Avenue rises by the intersection of Third Avenue and East 63rd Street.
