Co-Op Building Being Advertised as Development Site at 161 Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights

The co-op board comprising 20 units representing the seven-story, 20,000 square-foot building at 159-161 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn Heights, has placed the property on the market for $30 million. Per The Real Deal, the building is being advertised as a development site, and demolishing the existing structure would allow a new 45,000 square foot structure. The building was converted to residential use in 1982.

65-Story Condo Tower at 100 East 53rd Street Receives Financing

Per The Real Deal, RFR Realty, partnered with Hines, has received $360 million in financing from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China for the 65-story, 91-unit condominium building at 100 East 53rd Street, in Midtown East. Vanke Holdings and China Cinda Asset Management have also purchased stakes in the project this past March. Foster + Partners is designing, and YIMBY brought you an update on construction in March.


855 6th Avenue

Nike Leases Office Space at Durst’s 855 6th Avenue, in Midtown

Crain’s Business reports Nike has leased 147,000 square feet of office space at the Durst Organization’s 42-story, 570,000 square-foot mixed-use building at 855 6th Avenue, in Midtown South. The third through sixth floors will by occupied by Nike, and their lease will include the 15,000 square-foot outdoor deck. The building was revealed by YIMBY in 2014, and completion is expected in early 2016.


37-08 34th Street

42-Unit Mixed-Use Project Planned at 37-08 34th Street, Long Island City

An LLC has filed applications for a five-story, 42-unit mixed-use building measuring a total of 29,530 square feet spanning the lots 37-02 – 37-10 34th Street, in northern Long Island City. JLS Designs is designing, and a commercial retail component will amount to nearly 1,000 square feet. An existing two-story building must first be demolished.
