Klein Enterprises has revealed the first images of 212 Durham Avenue, a 272-unit rental development in Metuchen, New Jersey. Designed by JDAVIS Architects, the façade features a mix of pale gray and tan cladding, dark gray brick, and a metal canopy above the main residential entrance.
Foundation work is wrapping up on Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place, a pair of 21-story residential buildings at 267 Bond Street and 498 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Property Markets Group, which acquired both plots for $9 million in 2021, the complex will yield a combined 594,000 square feet with 517 residential units and 52,000 square feet of commercial space. The development is proceeding with $18.5 million in financing from Maxim Capital Group. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the project, which is bound by DeGraw Street to the north, Sackett Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Bond Street to the west.
A 463-unit rental property at 1515 Surf Avenue is now topped out in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Developed by LCOR and designed by Studio V Architecture, the building stands 16 stories tall and also contains 11,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
Construction tops out on the tallest building at 420 Carroll Street, a two-tower residential complex in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Domain Companies, the project consists of a 20-story, 224-foot-tall tower and 15-story sibling and will yield 360 units with 25 percent reserved for affordable housing, as well as 27,500 square feet of retail space, 7,700 square feet of “Gowanus Mix” space pursuant to the 82-block rezoning of the district, and a new public promenade along the Gowanus Canal. Studio Mainer is the interior designer, Scape is the landscape architect, and Mega Contracting Group is the general contractor for the development, which is rising from a trapezoidal plot bound by Carroll Street to the north, the Powerhouse Arts building and its parking lot to the south, and the Gowanus Canal to the west.
YIMBY toured the interiors of The Bellemont, a 13-story residential building nearing completion at 1165 Madison Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Naftali Group, the 210-foot-tall structure spans 67,680 square feet and will yield 11 condominium units designed by by Achille Salvagni, as well as 3,749 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor and Compass Development Marketing Group is leading sales and marketing for the property, which is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 86th Street, a short walk from Central Park.
