Construction is complete on 460 West 41st Street, a 164-foot-tall mixed-use building in Midtown West. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Covenant House, the 80,290-square-foot structure is the first supportive housing development by the company in nearly 50 years and was made possible with help from Gotham Organization and Denham Wolf Real Estate Services. The site is located along the southern border of Hell’s Kitchen between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and West 40th and West 41st Streets, and is a short distance from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The building will yield 60 residential units averaging approximately 884 square feet, as well as a 53,053-square-foot community facility. The project was last reported to cost $128 million.
At number 12 on our construction countdown is 520 Fifth Avenue, a proposed 995-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina Properties, who took over as the lead developer in 2019 from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA, the 507,608-square-foot structure will yield 98 residential units, commercial space, and four cellar levels. Permit applications that were filed in the beginning of 2021 for the project, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street.

Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by Valyrian Capital and Pan Brothers, the 40,230-square-foot structure yields 30 units averaging 1,200 square feet apiece, as well as retail space on the ground floor and cellar level. The property is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

Located at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Carroll Street, the lot is one block from the Union Street subway station, serviced by the R train. The Edgewater Planning Board this week granted approvals for one of the largest mixed-use developments along Jersey City‘s Gold Coast waterfront district. Located at 615 River Road in Edgewater, the 1.2 million-square-foot development includes three 25-story towers, 1,200 apartments, 20,000 square feet of commercial space, and several outdoor green spaces for public use.
