Permits have been filed for an environmentally-oriented nine-story mixed-use development at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks away from the Alabama Avenue subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. The Liberty Avenue subway station is also two blocks away, serviced by the C train. Pennrose is listed as behind the applications.
One of the most highly anticipated skyscrapers in Manhattan’s history has finally reached its peak architectural height. Two American flags have been fastened to the top of the tower in Midtown, announcing that the full topping-out has now occurred. This differs from the mid-June topping out event that architect Jean Nouvel attended, since that was to celebrate construction reaching the peak habitable height. Hines is responsible for the development.
It’s been three months since we got a first look at what’s coming to 11 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Now, construction is starting to rise above street level. The latest images from Tectonic reveal that the building has reached its sixth floor, just shy of one-eighth of the eventual total floor count. At this point, no elements of the distinctive design from the renderings are visible. The 51-story condominium tower is being designed by Studio Gang, a Chicago-based firm. This will be their first residential building in New York City.

Permits have been filed for a three-story mixed-use building at 28-57 45th Street, in a mostly residential part of Astoria, Queens. Seven blocks away is the 46th Street subway station, serviced by the E, M and R trains. Alex Lamartina will be responsible for the development.
