One East Harlem Tops Out at 201 East 125th Street, in Harlem

Construction has topped out on One East Harlem, a 19-story mixed-use building at 201 East 125th Street in Harlem. Designed by S9 Architecture, the reinforced concrete structure prominently rises above its surroundings and will yield over 420,000 square feet of newly built space. Work broke ground last summer and required the demolition of a couple low-rise structures occupying the site. Richman Group Development, Bridges Development Group, and Monadnock Development are the developers of the project, and received a mix of public and private funding from Citigroup, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and the New York City Housing Development Corporation.

Located at the intersection of Nassau Street and Beekman Street, the corner lot also known as 126-132 Nassau Street, is within walking distance of Fulton Street subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, and Z trains. SL Green Realty is listed as the owner behind the applications for the future Pace University academic center and dormitory. Pace University also has an academic property at 41 Park Row.

RAMSA’s 1230 Madison Avenue Nears Topping Out, on the Upper East Side

Construction is getting close to topping out on 1230 Madison Avenue, a Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The reinforced concrete superstructure has risen quickly since YIMBY’s early February update and will soon reach its 208-foot pinnacle. Developed by Real Estate Equities Corporation with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 20-story project is located in the neighborhood of Carnegie Hill on the same parcel as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
